Thomas Alvin Farr, 74, Newnan, died Aug. 8, 2008. He was born July 27, 1934 in Fayette County. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Claud and Mary Lou Elder Farr, and a sister, Sandra Edmondson. Services were at the First Baptist Church of Newnan with the Rev. Jimmy Dale Patterson and the Rev. Jerry Walker officiating. Interment was at Sandy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Fayetteville. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Brenda Beall Farr, Newnan; a son, Steve and Robin Farr, Newnan; a daughter, Becky and Tom Quattlebaum, Newnan; brothers, William and Francine Farr, Conyers, and Donald Farr, Atlanta; sisters, Catherine Johnson, McDonough, and Mae Farr, Atlanta; and grandchildren, Haden, Madison, and Catelyn Farr. Parrott Funeral Home, Fairburn, was in charge.
