Barbara Cummings

Barbara Jean Justice Cummings, 58, Newnan, died June 2, 2008. She was born in Colquitt County and lived there until after she was married. She was a gifted singer and sang in her church choirs, the A capella Choir and Serenaders at Moultrie Senior High School. She majored in Music at the University of Georgia. She was a member of Heatherwood Baptist Church at Whiteoak, Newnan, for the past 12 years. She had worked as the office manager of several doctors' groups, and later employed at Northwest Airlines for 12 years. Services are today, June 6, at 2 p.m. at Heatherwood Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Tom Daugherty officiating. Interment will be at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City.

Rachel Colley

Rachel Bailey Colley, 69, Sharpsburg, died May 29, 2008. She was born Dec. 9, 1938 in Walton County, daughter of the late Roy and Mary Wilson Bailey. She was an artist and a fashion illustrator for both Rich's and Macy's department stores before her retirement. Services were at the McKoon chapel with the Rev. Gary Cunningham officiating. Interment was at Mountain Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Madison, Ga. Survivors include a son, Michael Colley, Atlanta, and a daughter, Crystal Norigenna, Sharpsburg.

Louise Arnall

Louise Caldwell Arnall, 93, Newnan, died May 22, 2008. She was born Dec. 24, 1914 in Meriwether County. She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore Richardson and Stella Wyche Caldwell, siblings, James Caldwell and Weston Caldwell, and her husband, William Raymond Arnall Sr. She attended Young Harris and was a graduate of Wesleyan College. She taught school in Meriwether County, Sunday School in her church, and was always active in her community. Graveside services were at Oak Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Joel E. Richardson officiating. Survivors include children, Jeane and Dr. Pat Yancey Jr., and William R. "Billy" and Linda Arnall; grandchildren, Pat and Julie Yancey III, Richard and Anne Yancey, Barbara Yancey and Mark Chandler, Weston and Caroline Arnall, and Walter and Kim Arnall; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Mary Kelley

Mary Morgan Kelley, 88, died May 16, 2008. She was born Nov. 30, 1919 in Fayette County. She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer S. and Mattie Lizzie Ward Morgan, and her husband in 1994, Willie Howell Kelley. She was retired from Sears Roebuck with 25 years of service. Following retirement she enjoyed working for Morgan Jewelers. For over 60 years she was a devoted member of Newnan First Baptist Church and was active in all the programs of the church until her health prevented participation. Services were at the McKoon Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Dale Patterson officiating. Interment was at Oak Hill Cemetery, Newnan. Survivors include her children, Ronald and Imma Kelley, Lilburn, Robert and Judy Kelley, Dothan, Ala., and Joan Kelley, Cornelia, Ga.; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Frances Morgan Duke, Hinesville, Fred Morgan, Newnan, Ferrell Morgan, Toccoa, and Elizabeth Morgan Anderson, Marietta. Annette Bridges

Annette Bridges, 72, Riverdale, died May 15, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Bridges. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, Fayetteville. Services were at Liberty Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Randy Wood officiating. Interment was at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. Survivors include sons, Richard and Kay Bridges, Pelham, Ala., and Timothy and Denise Bridges, Senoia; grandchildren, Lauren and Nicholas Bridges, Christine Watkins, and Diane Garcia; great-grandchildren, Tyler Watkins, Lanna Burns, and Lizabeth Burns; and nieces, Ann Rodriguez, and Shirley Jenkins.

George Kidwell

George A. Kidwell, 70, Sharpsburg, formerly of McLean, Va., died May 15, 2008. He was retired with 38 years of service with the Washington Post, where he set type hot and cold in that form for the front page. He worked under Executive Editor, Ben Bradley, and owner, Martha Graham. Memorial services were at St. Andrew's in-the Pines Episcopal Church with the Rev. Father Paul Elliott officiating. Survivors include his children, Tandy and Joe Bartkowicz, Sharpsburg; and Travis and Morris Kennedy, Richmond, Va.; five grandchildren; and brother, Stanley S. Kidwell, Richmond, Va.

Jack Martz

Jack D. Martz, 53, Sharpsburg, died May 14, 2008. He was born Jan. 10, 1955 in Bluffton, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his father, Don Martz. He was a member of the Cornerstone United Methodist Church. Services were at the McKoon Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Bob Partridge officiating. Interment was at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Survivors include his wife, Tammy Martz, Sharpsburg; mother, Marcene Martz; daughters, Ashlee Martz, and Kasie Martz, both of Sharpsburg; and sisters, Barbra Blackstone, Dallas, Texas and Janet Bash, Houston, Texas.

Shirley Perry

Shirley Thompson Perry, 71, Newnan, died May 14, 2008. She was born Sept. 18, 1936 in Coweta County. She was preceded in death by her parents, the Rev. Joseph "Tommie" and Bertha Lee Crawford Thompson, her husband of almost 53 years, Donald L. Perry, a brother, Joe Lee Thompson, a sister, Averill Gilbert, a son-in-law, David Costley, and a brother-in-law, Donald Robinson. She had worked for many years at Bibb Manufacturing Company before her retirement. She loved crocheting, gardening, flowers, and playing with her grandchildren. Services were at McKoon Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Jimmy Lester and the Rev. Bobby Thompson officiating. Interment was at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Survivors include a daughter, Peggy Costley; grandchildren, Kayla and Gary Storey, Jody and Chastity Costley; great-grandchildren, Tristan Powers, Aaron Storey, Ryan Costley; brothers, Allen "A. C." and Louise Thompson, Tommy "Biddy Coot" and Wanda Thompson, and the Rev. Bobby Thompson; and sisters, Frances Robinson, and Joan and Larry Avery.

Martha Cox

Martha Nell Cox, 75, Newnan, died May 14, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred L. Cox Sr., and a daughter, Elaine Cox Brittian.Services were at the McKoon Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. L. B. Rooks officiating. Survivors include her children, Freddy Cox, and Stan Cox, both of Newnan, and Charlotte Cox Duncan, Anniston, Ala.; brother, Charles Helton, Newnan; a sister, Dorothy Gore, Macon; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Mary Ann McIntyre

Mary Ann McIntyre Milligan, 61, Newnan, died May 3,2008. She was born July 11, 1946. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Ollie McIntyre. She was a graduate of Georgia state University. After retiring from International Paper and Georgia Pacific of Atlanta, she was a volunteer at the Fox Theater and taught ESL classes at Clayton State. She was the owner and president of "If Its Printed." A Celebration of Life services were at McDonough Road Baptist Church, Fayetteville. Survivors include a son, Shaun Milligan, Newnan; a grandson, Jackson Milligan; and a brother, Bill McIntyre.
