Michael E. Justice, 60, Tyrone, formerly of Sharpsburg, died May 19, 2008. He had attended Tennessee Tech and the University of Tennessee. After serving in the United States Marine Corps Reserves, he began a career in banking. He was a graduate of the Georgia Banking School at the University of Georgia, and the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University. He had 38 years of banking experience with 27 years in the banking industry in Fayette and Coweta counties. Ten years were spent as president of the Farmers and Merchants Bank of Senoia. He was a charter member of the Tyrone Rotary Club, serving as president from 1994 to 1995, received the Paul Harris Fellowship Award and served as chair of the National Accreditation Committee of 1995 for the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce, and served on the board of directors for the Arlington Christian School in Fairburn. He also served as a member of the Newnan Rotary Club, the Newnan-Coweta Chamber of Commerce, and was a member of the Peachtree City Church of Christ where he had served as a deacon and elder. Services were at the Fayetteville Church of Christ with Minister Charles Thompson and the Rev. Dr. Aubrey Johnson officiating. Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Justice, Tyrone; daughters, Mandy and Mark Noble, Memphis, Tenn., and Courtney and Landon Knight, Dennison, Texas; grandchildren, Ethan Noble, and Nina Noble; parents, Ed and Jo Justice, Chattanooga, Tenn.; a brother, Stephen Justice, Soddy Daisy, Tenn; and a nephew, Ryan Justice, Soddy Daisy, Tenn. Memorial donations may be made to the Arlington Christian School, 4500 Ridge Road, Fairburn, GA 30213. Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge. login to post comments |
