George A. "Tony" Bowman Sr., 44, Brooks, died May 18, 2008. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, John W. Whitton Sr., and brother-in-law, Wesley N. Whitton. Memorial services were at New Hope Church, Greenville, Ga., with the Rev. Kenneth Whitlock officiating. Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Kandyce I. Bowman, Brooks; sons, George A. and Kristen M. Bowman Jr., and Caleb Bowman, all of Peachtree City; a daughter, Savannah and Kristopher Elder, Riverdale; parents, George A. and Jimmy Ann Bowman, Tyrone; brothers, Tim and Stacey Bowman, of White, and David Bowman, Tyrone; a sister, Amanda and Julio Diaz, Tyrone; mother-in-law, Maggie S. Whitton, Brooks; brothers-in-law, John W. and Audra Whitton Jr., Bullard, Texas, and Jessie E. and Jenny Whitton, Jackson; sisters-in-law, Anita Watson, Troup, Texas, and Rachel A. Bonander, Fond du Lac, Wisc. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
