Herbert E. Register, 77, Fayetteville, died June 23, 2008, after battling lung cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lemma and Edna Register, and a brother, Lonnie Register.

Derek "Mordred" Wingate, 18, Stockbridge, died June 21, 2008. He was a 2008 graduate of Stockbridge High School. Services were at the Carl J.

Charles Scott Morrow, 66, Peachtree City, died June 21, 2008, after a long illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Scott and Helen Harper Morrow of Wilmington, Del.

Robert "Bob" Rivers, Fairburn, died June 11, 2008. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn "Kitty" Rivers. Graveside services were at Bethany United Methodist Church Cemetery, Fayetteville.

Gene W. Nash Sr., 65, Senoia, died June 15, 2008. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Gladys Nash. He had worked for the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier for 37 years. Graveside services were at the College Park Cemetery with Elder Tom Ragan officiating.

R. V. Dooley Greene, 92, Senoia, died June 16, 2008. She was born Jan. 17, 1916 in Haralson County. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Franklin and Essie Evangaline Davis Dooley, her husband of 63 years, Elmer Greene, in 2002, and several brothers and sisters. She spent her life giving and helping others and the most important things in her life were her faith in God and family. She was a special aunt to many and an excellent cook, seamstress and gardener. She was a member of Church of God of Prophecy in Senoia. Services were at the McKoon Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Phil Bevel officiating.

James Aaron Brown, 76, Williamson, died June 16, 2008. He grew up in the Red Oak community, where he loved to work on and race cars. He had a love for Nascar Racing. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, College Park.

Willie Paul Coggin, 89, Newnan, died June 17, 2008. He was born Jan. 7, 1919 in Coweta County, one of nine children. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Manning and Lillian West Coggin. He was a veteran of World War II in the Army in Corps. He was retired as a ramp service agent for Eastern Airlines. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Elks. He was a member for many years of Jones Chapel United Methodist Church.

Kenneth Knoll Babcock, 89,Fayetteville, died June 19, 2008. He was born Nov. 1, 1918 in Dallas, Texas, and grew up in Sonora, Texas.

Linda Susan Malinowski, 42, Fayetteville, died June 17, 2008. She was born Dec. 25, 1965 in Cook County, Ill. She was preceded in death by her father, Jerome Nicholas Schaefges.

Helen Maxwell Green, 84, Sparta, died June 15, 2008. She was a native of Oglethorpe County. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sherrod and Florye Boswell Maxwell, and a son, George Green.

Belle Duncan Graham, 56, Fayetteville, died June 10, 2008. She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Sarah Nelle, and her parents, Horace and Anna Duncan.

Lisa Ann Montgomery, 38, Daytona Beach, Fla., died June 9, 2008. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, father, Fred Clardy, and a sister, Mary Jane Clardy.

Louise W. Forts, 80, Griffin, formerly of Fayette County, died June 8, 2008. She was born Dec. 25, 1927 in Lamar County. She was preceded in death by her parents, Boy and Lillie Bell Watts, her husband, Walter Lewis Forts, Sr., whom she married in 1944, and sons, Edward, Joe Lewis, and Herbert L.

Mattie Murphy, 83, Cartersville, formerly of Luthersville, died June 3, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Murphy, and parents, Jasper and Mary Anne Sharpe.

James Keith Moss, 52, Newnan, died June 3, 2008. He was born July 3, 1955 in Pasadena, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Patsy Moss, and a son, Todd Moss. He was an employee of Owens Illinois, Inc. for the past 34 years.

Donna E. Ogburn, 46, Fairburn, died June 9, 2008. She was preceded in death by her father, John H. Edwards. Memorial services were at the Lighthouse Community Baptist Church, Stockbridge.

Orris Lester Mangham, 82, Fayetteville, died June 5, 2008. He was preceded in death by his son, David Mangham. He served in the United States Navy in World War II.

Mamie Evelyn Parrott, Fayetteville, died June 5, 2008. She was preceded in death by her parents, Max and Ida Mae Fuller, her husband, James Parrott Sr., a brother, Franklin Fuller, and granddaughters, Wendy Cox and Crystal Williams.

Florence Alice King, 75, Fayetteville, died June 4, 2008. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Estelle Meier. She was a faithful member of Fayetteville Christian Church and a member of the Builders Sunday School class, as well as the Prayer and Share group. Services were at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Dr. Dan Roberts officiating. Interment was at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta.
