Robert "Bob" Rivers, Fairburn, died June 11, 2008. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn "Kitty" Rivers. Graveside services were at Bethany United Methodist Church Cemetery, Fayetteville.

Survivors include daughters, Linda and David Arendell, Tyrone, and Debra Shupe, Fairburn; grandchildren, Christy Smelcer, Dana Arendell, Jamia Rendell, Tammy Gravley, and Christy Shupe; and great-grandchildren, Chase Smelcer, Blake Smelcer, and Brooke Glover.

Parrott Funeral Home, Fairburn, was in charge.
