Gene W. Nash Sr., 65, Senoia, died June 15, 2008. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Gladys Nash. He had worked for the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier for 37 years. Graveside services were at the College Park Cemetery with Elder Tom Ragan officiating.

Survivors include his wife, Ina "Jackie" Nash, Senoia; sons James and Elizabeth Hightower, Berkeley, Calif., and Gene Wayne Nash Jr., Senoia; a daughter, Carla and Chuck Smith, Senoia; grandchildren, Michael, Wyatt, and Shelby, all of Senoia, and Palmer, Berkeley; a brother, Jerry and Sandra Nash, Conyers; and sisters, Janice Britt, and Phyllis and Mike Lynn, all of Lawrenceville, and Gail Wilson, Gainesville. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
