Louise W. Forts, 80, Griffin, formerly of Fayette County, died June 8, 2008. She was born Dec. 25, 1927 in Lamar County. She was preceded in death by her parents, Boy and Lillie Bell Watts, her husband, Walter Lewis Forts, Sr., whom she married in 1944, and sons, Edward, Joe Lewis, and Herbert L. Forts. She was a member of New Hope Methodist Church, Inman, and when moving to Griffin, she joined the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness. Services were at the New Hope Methodist Church with interment at the church cemetery. Survivors include sons, Walter Lewis, Leroy, Charlie Willie and Douglas Forts; daughters, Lillie Ruth Dodson, and Diana Forts; 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; a son-in-law, Jerry Dodson; daughters-in-law, Ethel, Dolores, and Brenda; sisters-in-law, Lucille Forts and Christine Forts; brothers, Horace Watts and Robert Lewis Watts; and sisters, Mary Jane Hayes, Claudia Widdell, Sarah Watts, and Kelly Perdue.
