John T. "J. T." Childers Jr., 90, Fayetteville, died June 1, 2008. He was preceded in death by his parents, John T. and Agnes Leigh Huff Childers Sr., and seven brothers and sisters. Services were at the Cannon Funeral home, Fountain Inn, S.C. Survivors include his wife, Mildred Childers, Fayetteville; a daughter, Linda and Bill Beckwith, Fayetteville; grandchildren, Brian and Anne Beckwith, London, England, Tommy Beckwith, Biloxi, Miss., and Steve Beckwith, Atlanta; a great-grandchild, Mary Beth Beckwith, London, England; sisters, Mabel Ross and Frances Childers, Simpsonville, S.C.; and caregiver, Nancy Calhoun. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge of local arrangements.
