R. V. Dooley Greene

R. V. Dooley Greene, 92, Senoia, died June 16, 2008. She was born Jan. 17, 1916 in Haralson County. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Franklin and Essie Evangaline Davis Dooley, her husband of 63 years, Elmer Greene, in 2002, and several brothers and sisters. She spent her life giving and helping others and the most important things in her life were her faith in God and family. She was a special aunt to many and an excellent cook, seamstress and gardener. She was a member of Church of God of Prophecy in Senoia. Services were at the McKoon Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Phil Bevel officiating.

Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Greene and William Foster Roy Jr., Senoia; a foster son-brother, Boyce Rupert and Gail Wike Dooley, Trion, Ga.; a brother, Emmitt and Mary Broome Dooley, Summerville; grandchildren; David Boyce Dooley, Warner Robbins, and Denise Dooley Tillman, Rome, Ga.; step-grandchildren, Dawn Roy and Wendell Miller, Katy, Texas, and Melissa Roy and David Shiramizu, Georgetown, Texas; great-grandchildren; Rachel and Bonnie Grace Tillman, Rome, Ga, Lauren and Jordon Miller, Katy, Texas, and Claire and Jonah Shiramizu, Georgetown, Texas; three brothers-in-law; four sisters-in-law; and caregivers, Mary Marshall, Carolyn Alexander, Liz Alexander, Dan Smith, Kris Farmer, and Dianne Ledbetter. Memorial donations may be made to the Church of God of Prophecy, P. O. Box 937, Senoia, GA 30276.

McKoon Funeral Home, Newnan, was in charge.
