Judy McMichael Mapp, 91, Newnan, died July 22, 2008. She was born April 30, 1917 in Newnan. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Luther and Eudora Hendrix McMichael, and her husband, Alvin Ace Mapp, in 1984. Prior to her retirement she had been employed by several local companies as a secretary and records keeper. She was a long-time member of Central Baptist Church.

Services were at the McKoon Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Dr. Joel E. Richardson officiating. Interment was at Oak Hill Cemetery, Newnan. Survivors include a sister, Janie Allene Jenkins; stepsons, Howard "Bootsie" Mapp, and Charles Mapp; nephews, Joseph McMichael, Edward McMichael, Gerald McMichael, and Bob Jenkins; and a niece, Deborah Jenkins.
