Adolph Ernst Gebel, 85, Peachtree City, died Aug. 7, 2008. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rae Gebel and a son, Terry Gebel. He was a veteran of World War II as an Army staff sergeant in the Airborne. He was retired from the Ford Motor Company in Hapeville. Graveside services were at Westview Cemetery, Atlanta with Pastor Miriam Beecher officiating. Survivors include sons Mike and Sheryl Gebel, Peachtree City, and Peter and Jill Gebel, Urbana, Ohio; grandchildren, Ronald Brenton and Sheila Gebel, Milledgeville, and Michael Walter and Mary Gebel Jr., Norcross; great-grandchildren, Ronald Brenton Gebel Jr., and Daniel Thomas Gebel, both of Milledgeville, Michael Walter Gebel III and Emma Lang Gebel, both of Norcross, and Halley Gebel, Urbana, Ohio; and a brother Walter F. and Rita Gebel, San Diego, Calif. Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.
