Robert Edward Carter Sr., 77, Newnan, died July 21, 2008. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mae Bell Kidston Carter. Services were at the McKoon Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. James Cook and the Rev. Jeff Smith officiating. Interment was at Forest lawn Memorial Park, Newnan. Survivors include his children, Kenneth J. and Teresa Carter, Robert E. and Judy Carter Jr., and Jane and Marcus Schrichte; his former wife and mother of the children, Irene A. Carter, Atlanta; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
