Donald B. Ray, 72, Union City, died Aug. 4, 2008. He was born March 24, 1936 in Fulton County. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne Ray, and a grandson, Patrick Kent. He was retired from the Atlanta Journal and Constitution newspaper after 38 years of service. Services were at the Parrott Funeral Home chapel with Wayne Moore officiating. Interment was at Holly Hill Memorial Park, Fairburn. Survivors include a son, Donny Ray, Fayetteville; a daughter, Deborah and Larry Strozier, Greenville; brothers, Bobby D. and Nina Ray, Tyrone, and Charles and Hazel Ray, Union City; sisters, Jackie and Bobby Harmon, Union City, and Marsha and Jerry Evans, Fayetteville; a sister-in-law, Norma and Eddie Ramey, Sharpsburg; grandchildren, Adam and Leslie Poore, Tyler Strozier, Madison Ray, and Cameron Ray; and great-grandchildren, Taylor Kent and Emily Poore.
