Lucille McWhorter Hardy Ellis, 91, died. Dec. 17, 2005. She was born May 31, 1914 in Carrollton, Ga., and lived most of her life in and around Atlanta.

Clifford L. Burdick, Master Sgt., United States Army retired, 86, Fayetteville, died Dec. 20, 2005. He was born April 7, 1919 in Andover, N.

Mary Catherine “Cat” Woolf Boland, 80, Peachtree City, formerly of East Point, died Dec. 22, 2005. She was born June 23, 1925 in Early County, Ga.

Calvin N. Moon, 78, Fayetteville, died Dec. 23, 2005. He was born Feb. 9, 1927 in Cobb County, Ga. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of East Point Christian Church.

Ruby Self Akins, 92, Fayetteville, died Dec. 23, 2005.

Jack E. Powers, 87, Peachtree City, died Dec. 23, 2005. He was born Oct. 2, 1918 in Coweta County, Ga. He was the son of James and Elizabeth Powers.

Robert Graham, 55, Peachtree City, died Dec. 23, 2005. He was born May 23, 1950 in Hattiesburg, Miss. He was a 30 year resident of Peachtree City and was president of the Lake Peachtree Association for 10 years.

William B. Craig, 81, Peachtree City, died Nov. 17, 2005. He was born Feb. 26, 1924 at Fort Sill, Okla. He was graduated from the United States Military Academy in 1945 and joined the United States Army Air Corps. He flew a P-51, F-86, F-105, and F-4 fighter aircraft in the Korean and Vietnam wars. He retired as a decorated colonel after 29 years of service. He was an avid golfer. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Gloria Murphy Craig; sons, William and Linda Craig, Sierra Vista, Ariz., Peter and Darlene Craig, Hemet, Calif., and Robert and Linda Craig, Beavercreek, Ohio; daughters, Kathleen and Robert Gradon, Ashburn, Va., Nancy and Randy Sage, Peachtree City, and Joanne and Corry Jackson, Seminole, Fla.; and 13 grandchildren. A memorial mass was held at St. Matthew Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Victor Galier officiating. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery on Jan. 12, 2006. Rosa Lee Drennan, 91, Fayetteville, died Dec. 12, 2005. She was born June 1, 1914 in Berrien County. She was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Drennan, and a son, Lewis Tyson. She had lived in Fayetteville since 1947 and was a member of Fayetteville First Baptist Church. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Glenn Stringham officiating. Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Thiel, 88, Fayetteville, died Dec. 12, 2005. She loved animals and baseball, and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Keith R. Crowder, 56, Monroe, died Dec. 12, 2005. He was born Oct. 11, 1949 in Fulton County. He was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip and Louise Crowder, and a brother, David Crowder. He was a diver in the United States Navy, was active in Bikers for Christ, and a member of Precision Inline Skate Team. He worked at Walton-Stout, Inc. as an electrical engineer. Joe Cullen “Jack” Williford Jr., 69, Fayetteville, died Dec. 5, 2005. He was born Oct. 14, 1936 in Bertie City, N. C. He was graduated from South Hampton High School, Hampton, Va., and the University of Alaska at Fairbanks. He was also graduated from the John Marshall School of Law. He served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve for 10 years as a sergeant. He always encouraged people to get involved in politics and to vote.
