Edwin “Ed” Jackson, 74, Tyrone, died Dec. 7, 2005. He was born Nov. 15, 1931 in Fulton County. He was retired from Gerber Foods after 37 years of service. He was a Past Master and presently a secretary of the Tyrone Masonic Lodge #644 F&AM. Services were at the Parrott Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Farren Roper and the Rev. Dr. James “Jim” Burdette officiating. Interment was at Sharon Memorial Gardens, Tyrone, with the Tyrone Masonic Lodge officiating. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Becky Hembree Jackson, Tyrone; sons, Mike Jackson, Cartersville, and Tim and Linda Jackson, Athens; brothers, Tommy Jackson, Washington, D.C., Ralph Jackson, Fayetteville, Ark., and Ted Jackson, Seoul, South Korea; a sister, Nevada Carter, Castle Rock, Wash.; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Parrott Funeral Home, Fairburn, was in charge.
