Venice CooperVenice “Granny” Cooper, 78, Peachtree City, died Jan. 12, 2006. She was born Aug. 13, 1927 in Anniston, Ala. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mattie Wheeler, her husband of 53 years, Samuel Cooper, a son, Jimmy Cooper, and a daughter, Susan Elaine Davis. Annabelle Tait “Skippy” LuizAnnabelle Tait “Skippy” Luiz, 86, Griffin, died Jan. 4, 2004. She was born Sept. 12, 1919 in Old Towne, Maine, the youngest of four children born to Harry and Belle Tait. She spent her youth in Manchester, N. H. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Luiz, whom she married Jan. 14, 1942, and a sister, Harriet Robie, Dunnellon, Fla. Early in life she was a semi-professional radio singer. She enjoyed creating folk art, country crafts, and cooking. Richard Andrew PassantinoRichard Andrew Passantino, 80, Newnan, died Dec. 30, 2005. He was born Oct. 9, 1925 in Park Ridge, N. J.. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Eleanor Passantino. While attending Park Ridge High School, he was drafted into the United States Navy and served aboard an aircraft carrier, USS Coral Sea. After being honorably discharged he attended several schools, later becoming a Fuller Brush salesman. His career took him to the Sears-Roebuck Company where he was in appliance sales, retiring with 31 years of service. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Dumont. N. J. He was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, Sharpsburg. She was born April 19, 1924 in Fulton County. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. John B. ToddJohn B. Todd, 44, Peachtree City, died Jan. 2, 2006. He was born May 6, 1961 in Biloxi, Miss. He was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard, and a technician for a heating and air conditioning company. Eva E. GardnerEva E. Gardner, 73, Fayetteville, died Jan. 3, 2006. She was born Dec. 6, 1932 in Winder. She was a member of the Glazener Primitive Baptist Church. Richard Edward GeboRichard Edward “Dick” Gebo, 71, McDonough, died Jan. 4, 2006. He was born Oct. 9, 1934 in Tupperlake, Franklin County, N. Harold Edward MooreHarold Edward Moore, 77, Fayetteville, died Dec. 25, 2005. He was born May 16, 1928 in Coweta County. He was preceded in death by his mother, Elsie Moore. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of UAW #882. He raised beagles, was an avid hunter, and an avid NASCAR and Braves fan. Services were at Cokes Chapel United Methodist Church, Sharpsburg, with Brother Jimmy Caldwell officiating. Interment was at the church cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Mildred Colley Moore, Fayetteville; a sister, Elizabeth King, Atlanta; a sister-in-law, Gladys Moore, Atlanta; nephews, Donald King, Atlanta, and Jimmy Caldwell, Virginia; and nieces, Kathy Metcalf, Marietta, and Rhonda King, Snellville.
