Dr. Harvey Bennett Hearn, 76, Palmetto, died Dec. 23, 2005. He was born in Palmetto to the late Seaborn Elisha and Lucille Massengale Hearn. He was a graduate of Campbell High School, Fairburn, and the University of Georgia School of Veterinary Medicine in 1952. He was a member of Sardis Baptist Church, Palmetto, where he served as a Sunday School teacher for several years. Services were at the Parrott Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Tom Gullatt officiating. Interment was at Sardis Baptist Church cemetery. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Bettye McKoy Hearn, Palmetto; a son, Lee and Teresa Hearn, Brooks; daughters, Beth and Bobby Patterson, Lawrenceville, and Jane and Rick Whitehead, Sharpsburg; brothers, Richard and Sue Hearn, Toccoa, and Allen and Charlotte Hearn, Fayetteville; grandchildren, Sam Hearn, Daniel Hearn, Kay Burdette, Brent Patterson, Holly Patterson, Emily Whitehead, and Sarah Grace Whitehead. Parrott Funeral Home, Fairburn, was in charge.
