Kate Buffington, 90, Fayetteville, died Jan. 1, 2006. She was born April 3, 1915 in Fulton County. She was a resident of East Point for over 60 years, and worked with the PTA at Harris Street Elementary School, and Russell High School. She was a member of East Point Christian Church and a charter member of West Side Christian Church. Services were at the Parrott Funeral Home chapel with Minister Gene Wiggington and Minister Keith Davenport officiating. Interment was at Holly Hill Memorial Park, Fairburn. Survivors include a daughter, Anne Eidson, Fayetteville; grandchildren, Dwain E. Eidson, East Point, and John and Shelby Eidson, Senoia; and a great-grandchild, Andrew Eidson. Parrott Funeral Home, Fairburn, was in charge.
