Mildred Green O’Neal, 85, Fayetteville, formerly of Newnan, died Dec. 31, 2005. She was born March 16, 1920 in Alcoa, Blount County, Tenn. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Johnnie Hudgens Green, her husband, Samuel O’Neal, a son, Sam C. O’Neal, and sisters, Mary Charles Carter and Blanche Green. She was retired from Parks Belk with 26 years of service and was a member of the Raymond Baptist Church. Services were at Raymond Baptist Church with the Rev. L. B. Rooks officiating. Interment was at Maryville, Tenn. Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Julie Lovvern O’Neal, Newnan; a daughter, Peggy and David Lambert, Fayetteville; grandchildren including Sherry Koon, Eric Lambert, Penny Delvalle, Brent Lambert, Shannon Wallace, and Kim Callahan; and 13 great-grandchildren; a special nephew, Mike Carter, McMinville, Tenn. Memorial donations may be made to the Raymond Baptist Church, 1261 East Highway 16, Newnan, GA 30263. McKoon Funeral Home, Newnan, was in charge.
