Richard Andrew Passantino, 80, Newnan, died Dec. 30, 2005. He was born Oct. 9, 1925 in Park Ridge, N. J.. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Eleanor Passantino. While attending Park Ridge High School, he was drafted into the United States Navy and served aboard an aircraft carrier, USS Coral Sea. After being honorably discharged he attended several schools, later becoming a Fuller Brush salesman. His career took him to the Sears-Roebuck Company where he was in appliance sales, retiring with 31 years of service. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Dumont. N. J. He was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, Sharpsburg. Services were at St. George Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Dan Fleming officiating. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Helen Passantino; sons, Richard and Rosemarie Passantino, Sullivan, Maine, and Steven and Sheryl Passantino, Newnan; a daughter, Lynn Russell, Kansas City, Mo.; and grandchildren, Ashley and Nathan. Memorial donations may be given to St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church building fund. Jones Funeral Home, Newnan, was in charge. login to post comments |
