William Alexander Blun Jr.

William Alexander “Billy” Blun Jr., 62, Peachtree City, died Dec. 29, 2005, after an extended illness. He was born June 27, 1943 in Savannah, son of William A. and Anne Blun. He resided there until moving to Peachtree City in 2003. In Savannah, he served as Chairman of Deacons at his church, was a member of the DeMolay Fraternity and the Civitan Club. He attended the Citadel in Charleston, S. C., and Armstrong State University in Savannah. He served in the United States Army as a co-pilot on fixed-wing aircraft. He served in Viet Nam and Germany. After returning, he was a bank officer at the Savannah Bank and Trust. In Peachtree City, he was a member of First Presbyterian Church. He was an active sailor, and enjoyed sailing the waters around Savannah. Memorial services were at the First Presbyterian Church, Peachtree City, with the Rev. Dr. David Miller officiating. Survivors include his wife, Pamela Floyd Blun; daughters, Anne and Todd Lupo, Peachtree City, and Dorothy and Lin Chambers, Macon; a brother, Strudwick Nash Blun, Sugar Hill, Ga.; and grandchildren, Anne Carson Lupo, Elizabeth Helen Lupo, and William Harris Chambers. Memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation, or Vista Care Hospice, Newnan, Ga. Jones Funeral Home, Newnan, was in charge.
