James “Jim” T. Briant, 74, Fairburn, Fayette County, died Dec. 24, 2005. He was a native of Atlanta. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Adrian Mathis, and two grandchildren. Life Memorial Services were at Atlanta City Church with Pastor Rick Snow officiating. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Annette P. Briant; children, Kelly and Lynn Briant, Robin and Steve Kelley, and Melissa and Fred Grace; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association. The Cremation Society of the South was in charge.
