Roy C. Goldsberry, 81, Union City, died Dec. 25, 2005. He was born Dec. 11, 1924 in Brown County, Ohio. He served as a minister and missionary in the United States, Nigeria, and Italy for over 45 years. He and his wife were the first Christian Church missionaries from the United States to serve in Nigeria. Services were at the First Christian Church of Fairburn with Minister Keith Davenport officiating. Interment was at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, College Park. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Barbara Myers Goldsberry,, Union City; daughters, Martha and Jimmy Miller, Sharpsburg, and Anna and Tim Sandefur, Fayetteville; a brother, Robert Goldsberry, Norwood, Ohio; a sister, Lois Riter, Norwood, Ohio; and grandchildren, Andrew Miller, Kayla Sandefur, and Daniel Sandefur. Memorial donations may be made to the Hispanic Ministry at the First Christian Church of Fairburn, 154 Fayetteville Road, Fairburn, GA 30213. Parrott Funeral Home, Fairburn, was in charge.
