Rupert F. Barronton, 91, Fayetteville, died Dec. 14, 2005. He was born Dec. 12, 1914 in Clayton County. He was a veteran of World War II and was a retired clerk for Travis Hardware. Services were at the Ford-Stewart Funeral Home with the Rev. Dan Houston, and the Rev. Don McElhanon officiating. Interment was at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. Survivors include his wife, Mary Nell Barronton; a son, Jerry and Kathy Barronton, Fayetteville; grandsons, Robert and Kim Barronton, Douglasville, and Scott and Melissa Barronton, Sharpsburg; great-grandchildren, Katie, Carey, Jacob, Maggie and Will Barronton; and sisters, Opal Boles, Bainbridge, and Sarah Mayo, Jonesboro. Ford-Stewart Funeral Home, Jonesboro, was in charge.
