A tree fell by my house last night. A neighbor thinks it's because it's been so dry lately. Luckily no people or property got hurt. But now I'm trying to decide wether to get a chain saw and maybe haul the pieces to the landfill or just find someone to just haul this away for me. I hear the tree hauling places are expensive and I'm cheap. Not a good combo. Renting a Makita from HD for a day is about 62 bucks plus I'd have to haul it myself. Anyone know a inexpensive but good tree service?

Our upstairs unit had a blown coil and Trinity Air has qouted $19,000 to replace all 3 A/C Units and Furnaces.

The house was built in 1992 so the units are getting old.

I kind of wish Georgia would get rid of the county designation on the license plate tags. Tags make it way too easy to make assumptions about people you really know nothing about.

The D.A and cops win 98% of their cases. After 2 trials, both jury's can see through the lies of the police. From my own personal experience, I KNOW they will lie!

Of course this has come up before and since it usually pays for itself, there are not many people who care one way or the other.

My my, how things have changed in a few short years. We relocated to Fayetteville from California in 2003 because of my husband's job. We chose Fayette County because of it's stellar reputation for good schools and quality of life. But how things have changed....robberies, random gunslingers, etc. It makes us so sad what is happening here and terrified we won't be able to sell our home. I now see hoodlums walking around the Pavillon and up and down GA85. It is looking more and more like Riverdale every week. I think we will have to be going back to California soon, which is too bad because this is, er, was a really great county.

The Starr's Mill girls soccer coach sure didn't want to give the Whitewater team any credit for their victory, did he? I hope this same scenario happens every year as long as he's coaching!!

What has replaced all of the jobs we have lost to Asia and other places?

With the groundbreaking of the new library in Tyrone I thought this might be a good time to vent about library in Fayetteville vs the one in Peachtree City. Now I realize that the Peachtree City branch is newer and that is fine but there are a few other differences that really annoy me.

Why is a POUND Sterling worth twice as much as a dollar. And, a EURO, about even with the dollar when it was introduced, is now worth 20-30% more. depending on the use.
