The Fayette County Board of Commissioners are not doing what's best for the County. They are working hard at undoing the things that Chairman Dunn and the previous Board work so hard to accomplish. I know the Employees at that County feels like they are in the middle of a tug of war. Trying to leave yesterday in the past but constantly living the pains of today. Chris Venice was the right person for the job. Makes me think that the new Board can not handle a woman with a strong mind and her own opinion. She was asked to resign because; she's not a yes person and that is exactly what made people respect her. How many more women in top positions will be fired before it's over.

I was walking my dog on the golf cart paths yesterday, and had a problem with teenagers on the path. I was in a tunnel, and they came flying down a curve into the tunnel and nearly hit me. When I told them to slow down, I was called the B word.

We try to educate our kids by sending them to a higher level of teaching after what we call "high school."
It is done in modern times mostly so the kids can make a better living with such an education. It wasn't always that way.

Urban sprawl is the nuissance issue of our time. Most if not all residents of our community moved here to be a part of a planned community with clear laws/ordinances intended to avoid urban sprawl. The shopping center on 74 at Kedron was, and is, too much. Now they want a bookend for the other side of town? Enough!

The media needs to STOP putting the shooter (and anyone else who commits such a heinous crime of taking lives)on our front covers of our newspapers and magazines!

After the Virginia Tech massacre earlier this week, the NRA dispatched it's top political enforcer to Georgia to ensure that the proposed "Bring Your Guns To Work!" bill would pass in the Georgia legislature. His blunt message: anyone trying to stop this bill would receive an automatic "F" rating on the NRA's political scorecard, which is the "kiss of death" in certain rural communities at election time.

Georgia’s State Superintendent of Schools, Kathy Cox, has imposed a dramatically different high school math curriculum without properly reviewing it with teachers and parents. She is replacing the traditional structure (Algebra I & II, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Calculus) with vaguely-titled Math 1, Math 2, and Math 3.

I read the “$1 billion in new tax revenue up for vote in Coweta” story and was shocked to see a local Peachtree City company on board to help the developer build Peachtree City’s traffic nightmare.

I have recently found out that Fayette County is going back to BCBS when we had so much trouble with them last time. We had to go to hospitals and doctors that were out of our county and what a mess.
