Happy Face Unfriendly to CommunityThe Circle K on Broad Street in Fairburn has new ownership. There is no name only the symbol of a Happy Face. They still sell gas but something different is on the inside of the store. The owners have put up Plexiglas and behind the glass they are selling large treacherous looking knives. Several people in the Fairburn community have brought this to my attention. This is a growing community with a positive culture. Fairburn has its share of problems with crime in the community, but the crime in the community is far and few between. This new owner of the Happy Face place knows nothing of our community and has moved in saying, I fear the community, by placing Plexiglas between themselves and the community. Also by selling these menacing looking knives the owners are purporting crime. I find this disturbing and am asking the citizens of Fairburn and local communities to let this owner know that we are not a criminalistic community nor do we tolerate criminality views to be place on us by businesses moving into our community. If this Happy Face place wants a happy business they need to remember that they are not selling to criminal elements but hard working, kind hearted, good spirited folks in the Community of Fairburn. sjfreeman's blog | login to post comments |
