Local Business Willing To Make A Buck Off Traffic Disaster

I read the “$1 billion in new tax revenue up for vote in Coweta” story and was shocked to see a local Peachtree City company on board to help the developer build Peachtree City’s traffic nightmare.

“But the impact will not only be financial. Reese said his development will have echoes of Charleston and Savannah, and Peachtree City’s Historical Concepts architectural firm will help make his vision come true.
Historical Concepts president Jim Strickland, who helped design Disney’s town of Celebration, along with the North Cove development in Peachtree City, said he’s excited about the challenge.”

Intrigued by these comments, I called the development offices at Disney and found that Historical Concepts built one house at Celebration. I wouldn’t necessarily call that designing the city.

How very sad to see Fayette County developers and architects cashing in on Peachtree City’s success and causing us so much pain. You can bet if TDK is built and things start getting bad that those traitorous developers and architects will just move somewhere else.

Aren't all those mean old bad Coweta Commissioners Republicans? Isn't this RAYgun-nomics at it's finest? Wouldn't David Stockman be proud (if he wasn't looking at going to jail on another matter) of the Supply-side? (Wait, he called it Voo-Do-Do Eco).
Isn't another poster complaining about our own Republican educator (what'ner something last year about her an I-tell-igent De-sign?).
Spearguy...Where's the tag? ....(except Westmoron)?

Personally, I think that subdivision up on the Northend of the Parkway is attractiv & in keeping w/ a disney-like theme...almost like bein in Charleston or Savannah, w/out the crime.

That is what this forum should be about. Exposing liars like Strickland who claim they have done more than build one house - good job!

Of course what you said is not true and you will hear from Strickland's tomorrow, but for now - good job!

Something is bad wrong when I find myself agreeing with RobeMudcat W. Morgan. I feel unclean.

It really is pathetic how a pack of greedy Fayette Countians is responsible for the TDK disaster. I mean it would be soooo much easier to complain about a group of Coweta County developers trying to screw us. But they couldn't find a Coweta County developer willing to cause so much harm to Fayette County.
