I’m sure many of you have noticed this office on your shopping excursions in the Braelinn Shopping Center. During this time of year when everyone is plagued by colds, flu, sore throats and other wintry ailments and trying to fit into your doctors schedule its nice to know that there is a walk in doctors office that has a very pleasant staff, very short wait time and is very clean and new. This place is the Health E Station in the Kroger Shopping Center. I was so impressed with this office I have recommended it to several of my co-workers who have also gone on to sing it praises to others.

A Sudanese court has convicted a British teacher of inciting religious hatred in Sudan by letting her class of seven-year-olds name a teddy bear Muhammad.

Well, it looks like Johnny Carinos closed its doors in Fayetteville; I don’t know when this happened since I don’t frequent The Pavilion that much.

My family and I moved to Fayette County from out of state 4 years ago. My oldest son started 9th grade at Fayette County High School. He has played football since he was 7 yrs. old and I have personally coached him until he enterd "school ball". I explained to him at that point that if he wanted to start at a position it was all up to him. Hard work and determination no guaranteed playing time like in rec. ball.

But where's the Christmas tree this year? I don't drive by the courthouse much anymore, but they usually have a tree installed and lit by Thanksgiving by the gazebo. All I saw were the lighted figure skaters and snowflakes.

To the golf cart driver who darted across Highway 74 in front of my car on Saturday afternoon...

I just wanted to remind you that it is illegal for golf carts to ride on or cross either 54 or 74 without using one of the bridges or tunnels.

The children and guardian parent, just got a kick in the teeth big time. For years I have applauded the fact that the government has taken an active part in making dead beat dads pay up. I felt the generation of children raised below the poverty line because fathers only paid child support if the wanted to, had grown up and gotten their revenge. Now I'm not so sure. The law use to be the children got 20% of the father's salery. This was also a good form of birth control for men, and a reason not to abuse parenthood.

Many years ago "letters to the editor" did not require a real name and address to post them.
For many reasons people who were being pounded for their indiscretions or mis-management, threatened the newspapers with boycotts of ad purchases. Well, letters to the editor are rare now for that reason.

I've read so many of your posts over the last year or so, and most I find to be pot stirrers. You stir the pot of discussion and encourage others to post in reply. Thats good, in that it encourages debate, but you often leave true debate behind and run off into your diatribes when certain political contests are brought up. You are certainly entitled to complain openly with your opinions, but your opinion is of little value when its cloaked from what your true biases are.
