hoppette: Best kept Peachtree City Secret

Best kept secret in Peachtree City….

I’m sure many of you have noticed this office on your shopping excursions in the Braelinn Shopping Center. During this time of year when everyone is plagued by colds, flu, sore throats and other wintry ailments and trying to fit into your doctors schedule its nice to know that there is a walk in doctors office that has a very pleasant staff, very short wait time and is very clean and new. This place is the Health E Station in the Kroger Shopping Center. I was so impressed with this office I have recommended it to several of my co-workers who have also gone on to sing it praises to others.

Doug: Is he really saying anything about the issues?

I don't really know Matt Ramsey, but I would say he is hedging on the House Speaker's new tax plan. I wonder if he's going to come out and say where he stands one way or another?

Thirty Years in PTC: Local is good...........

Do you people not understand how the various levels of government work? What exactly do you people want a State Representative to do about growth in our area? The general assembly does not zone, it does not annex and frankly I don’t want the General Assembly within a country mile of any decision affecting our community regarding growth.

johenry: OH MY GOSH! Now we know the rest of the story ...

Take a look at who's supporting Matt Ramsey for the late Dan Lakly's seat.

It's the same people who support TDK, Peachtree National bailout and Mayor Harold Logsdon.

larry carlton clarke's picture

It has been over a week now, but many of us can still find those leftovers just inside our refrigerator doors. They seemly linger in that box, and at times, I even feel as though they may be multiplying, and no matter how we “redo” the food to make it look good, it’s still leftovers !

They are back! This is the same development that was stopped dead in it's tracks by Gordon Shenkle, Gloria Furr, and Grace Caldwell this summer.

Richard Ford: FCHS FOOTBALL

My family and I moved to Fayette County from out of state 4 years ago. My oldest son started 9th grade at Fayette County High School. He has played football since he was 7 yrs. old and I have personally coached him until he enterd "school ball". I explained to him at that point that if he wanted to start at a position it was all up to him. Hard work and determination no guaranteed playing time like in rec. ball.

AF A-10's picture

Strengthening American Competitiveness

Congress, under Democratic leadership, passed forward-thinking legislation to help ensure America’s competitive advantage in science, research, and technology. S. 761, the America COMPETES Act, increases the nation’s investment in basic and innovative research; strengthens educational opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics from elementary through graduate school; and develops the infrastructure needed to enhance innovation and competitiveness in the United States. A true example of bipartisanship, the bill passed overwhelmingly in the Senate and is a response to concerns by industry leaders that America’s role as a leader in the technological and scientific fields was slipping. The bill takes significant steps toward securing our competitive edge in the future.

oldbeachbear: New Child support laws SUCK!

The children and guardian parent, just got a kick in the teeth big time. For years I have applauded the fact that the government has taken an active part in making dead beat dads pay up. I felt the generation of children raised below the poverty line because fathers only paid child support if the wanted to, had grown up and gotten their revenge. Now I'm not so sure. The law use to be the children got 20% of the father's salery. This was also a good form of birth control for men, and a reason not to abuse parenthood.

d.smith700: Screen Names

Many years ago "letters to the editor" did not require a real name and address to post them.
For many reasons people who were being pounded for their indiscretions or mis-management, threatened the newspapers with boycotts of ad purchases. Well, letters to the editor are rare now for that reason.

Richard Hobbs: The Git Real Guide to Blogging

Richard Hobbs's picture

I've read so many of your posts over the last year or so, and most I find to be pot stirrers. You stir the pot of discussion and encourage others to post in reply. Thats good, in that it encourages debate, but you often leave true debate behind and run off into your diatribes when certain political contests are brought up. You are certainly entitled to complain openly with your opinions, but your opinion is of little value when its cloaked from what your true biases are.

AF A-10: Political foreshadowing in Austrailia

AF A-10's picture

Austrailia's Elections

Austrailia and The UK have long been our most conservative and closest allies n the world stage. Austrailia's leadership, in particular, has aligned itself closely with our policies in Iraq and with respect to global climate change. The Austrailian PRime Minsiter, John Howard, has gone as far as criticizing U.S. democratic presidential candidates in his home country. Many around the world and here at home looked to this weekend's Austrailian elections as a referendum and a foreshadowing of what to expect in the US next year.
