JeffC: Waterboarding US troops is not a violation of the Geneva ConventionsSo now it has come to this. Some of the highest government officials in the Bush administration have followed that administration’s logic to its inevitable conclusion and have decided that waterboarding US troops is not a violation of the Geneva Conventions. Michael Boylan: The Citizen Sports Blitz holiday scheduleThere will be no episode of The Citizen Sports Blitz today, but we will be taping a special at Velocity Sports Performance on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. It will air on Monday and we will have one more episode on Wednesday, Dec. 19 before a hiatus through the end of the year. Kevin Wandra: Advice for the Falcons: Draft a quarterback, embrace CowherYet again, the Atlanta Falcons are looking for a new head coach. And it comes as no surprise. It perplexes me that Falcons owner Arthur Blank and general manager Rich McKay put their complete faith in Bobby Petrino, a man who has a history of not being forthright with those who have hired him. RT Tugger: Daniel Ross, can you help? This year, the item at the top of my fifth-grader's wish list is the dreaded (for parents) "drum set." I have been putting off making a decision on this. Michael Boylan: Another special guest on Daily Citizen discussing school boardJohn Thompson is on today's Daily Citizen talking about yesterday's redistricting forum. Should sound a little better than yesterday's, he sat closer to the mic. muddle: How To Think About AbortionA couple of people chose to take potshots in another thread at republicans who are pro-life. In a sort of hit-and-run style, they suggested that such pro-lifers are "hypocrites" but included that they did not want to get the thread sidetracked. Spear Road Guy: Thoughts On Who To Pick: Ramsey vs. Brown ElectionLook, the recent political forum, according to what I‘ve heard and read, gives you just two choices to fill House District 72: Steve Brown or Matt Ramsey. d.smith700: Totally expectedOur military in Iraq sent off a battalion of Iraqi soldiers to "whack-a-mole" an area out of Baghdad not long ago! I think on their own except for communications. Nitpickers: Base-a-ball beena very gude tuhme!I let the idiots who play basketball for a living go, thinking their game at least kept them busy. I also let the Roman gladiators who crush each others knees, shoulders and heads during a football practice or game go. station92: Jim HambrickWe lost a great Father,Husband and Firefighter today that worked for Forrest Park and formerly for the City of Fayetteville Fire Department. borntorun: Amphitheater ConcertsI see where the Villages Amphitheater series was announced. Except for one or two shows, not much to get excited about. nuk: GitReal can't get his facts straight or edit fast enoughThis morning, GitReal posted his usual baseless and never-with-any-proof accusations of criminal activities by DevAuth, Lenox, etc. This time, he included a link that somehow was supposed to "prove" that Bob Lenox and his "crew" covered-up and quashed an investigation into the Development Authority after the GBI had looked into it. Problem was, his link started off with a statement that Mayor STEVE BROWN in 2003 instructed Chief Murray to investigate the DevA. How exactly did Lenox and "his crew" quash this investigation when they weren't in office and the Development Authority was shutting-down??? from my perspective: Breakfast with Santa and Friends at McIntosh High SchoolAll-You-Can-Eat Pancake Breakfast with Santa and Friends being held this Saturday, December 15th from 7 a.m. - noon at the McIntosh High School Cafeteria 201 Walt Banks Road, Peachtree City. Sniffles: The Department of TransportationMost folks believe that the state Department of Transportation is a mess. This morning's AJC (12/13) indicated that the DOT has almost 300 current projects and a backlog of almost 9000 projects!! d.smith700: Whatchya gonna do when the well runs dry?I'm gonna run away and hide! (credit to "Fats" Domino) A good question--not a very good answer! Sniffles: The McIntosh Symphony OrchestraLast night was the very first time that the McIntosh Symphonic Strings and the McIntosh Symphonic Band ever played together as a complete orchestra. CCB: Why Steve Brown will win the electionI have defended Mayor Logsdon and Mitch Seabaugh in the past and I defend their right to choose as they see fit. They were elected by the people and until they're unelected, leave them alone. d.smith700: ObservationsThere is no weather but our TV forecasters try to earn the big bucks which sponsor the weather by blabbing. An example: I will exhibit my graphic for you showing rain in Texas and moving NE. We may get rain Friday from that. I'll be right back to explain the rain..... Well the rain may go north of us but I originally thought it would hit on the GA, NC lines in the mountains, which of course is US! I'll be right back to explain that! thebeaver: Racial Hoaxes and the NAACPchippie: Pardon mewhile Acey1 and I boast about our youngest, Lil Chip.
