To All My Democrat Friends:

Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low-stress, non-addictive, gender-neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasion and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all. I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2008, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great. Not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country nor the only America in the Western Hemisphere. Also, this wish is made without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wishee.

To My Conservative Friends:

MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

On the Official White House site; the official greeting from the most powerful Republican in the land: The greeting given to Americans was, drum rolllll.......

Happy Holidays.

I have taken Christmas cookies to neighbor's houses only to find out they are of a religion that doesn't celebrate it. No big deal, but many people avoid assuming someone is not Arabic, Catholic, 7th Day, etc. by simply saying Happy Hollidays. This is a way of wishing someone good will while not at any level committing a social faux paux. It is not an attack on Christmas. It isn't liberal or conservative. It is just safe. So safe that Laura Bush and Fox News use it on official correspondence. Just not a big deal.

Brother, I admire you. You are a great guy and I hope someday soon we can share either aile or coffee here, or that Cattleman's steak. Have a great Christmas Git!

Christmas is both secular and religious. Just because they celebrate a different religion doesn't mean they don't celebrate secular christmas.

Christmas is both secular and religious. When my son was little,we did the whole Santa thing etc, lots of fun. We still did the real meaning of Christmas- I let him choose 3 presents like the Wisemen brought- but who knows I wasn't there they could have brought more than one of them- so he chooses 3 but he gets more- Mom and Dad are soft.

You know me, I believe that Jesus was born and with that comes a huge meaning to me- God sent His only Son to save the world - (later). With that I try to take in my heart all year long.

I try and celebrate Christmas all year long, with my belief in God, presents doing kind things for others, I just think that's the way God wants it. Not once a year- all the time.

So, with that being said, do I think it's wrong to play Santa, No, my parents did it, still believed like me- still taught me about God sending his Son-

Am I offended when someone say something else than Merry Christmas, I say Merry Christmas, I respect in this country ( thank God) I am free to say that- not forced to say what the country wants me to say. So with that if someone say something else I smile and say Merry Christmas. Are you glad you live here where we can do that?

There sure if alot of present buying if they don't celebrate secualar Christmas, myself my gifts are tokens of love, like the one God gave me. I don't expect anything in return, because of my love for you.

So, I don't know where you live- or I would bake cookies, (Ha) and give them to you.

For some reason, I may be wrong- I think Jehovah Witness does not celebrate Christmas, salute the flag. I don't know why?

Merry Christmas!

Hack, did it ever occur to you to play it safe and take "Holiday" cookies to your neighbors?

Personally, I'm glad you took the time to buy, bake and distribute "CHRISTMAS" cookies.

If someone was offended at being offered "CHRISTMAS" cookies or wished "Merry CHRISTMAS" they can jump anytime they want.

It's NOT a social faux paux to offer, it's a social faux paux to make a point of telling someone that you were offended by their offering.

Would it really bother you if someone wished you a "Happy Hanukkah"? I didn't think so.

Maybe we should all wear signs.

"MERRY CHRISTMAS" to you and yours Hack.

I'll bet you don't let the young Mormon boys in your house to give you free stuff! (Well, maybe Romney).
What about the Jehovah's Witness women? The last ones I saw were on golf carts!
Muslims won't bother you at your door probably!
Maybe a Jew will come by your house and offer you eight candles, I don't know.

Excuse me?! What is your hang up with other religions?

Take your medicine and stop being so offensive at secular christmas time.

Whatever you celebrate Happy Holidays.

Unlike you when the young Mormon's do come around, just like an older Christian woman did last week with her granddaughter, I thanked them for their offer of kindness and declined. That's the way I was raised.

I took no offense to their message because it wasn't their intent to offend me. They were simply offering free information should I be interested.

With you I'm sure it would be a different story. Upon knocking on your door the next sound heard would be the 870 jacking a round.

I still tell telemarketers, "No thank you".

When are you ever going to learn that I openly accept and respect people of all different races, colors and religions.

That I grew up respecting people for being people is something my parents can be proud of.

I do take offense to people that are closed minded, such as yourself, and to people that feel they are entitled to something for nothing because of their skin color, age or religion.

For those of you that want something for nothing, go to my credit manager Hell'n Wait.

What do the young Mormon boys give away? The Jehovah's witness women can come in but have to leave the golf cart outside. Candle's are good, where's the problem, is this one of those solutions you were bragging about? When's dollars turn with the brain?

You wouldn't say all that if you lived in Russia (atheists), China (3 Billion Confucians), India (more billions of Hindi), Indonesia, and the middle east (more billions of Muslims), not to mention the other 20,000 or so "other" (like the Japanese and Europe). The 25% atheists and agnostics here don't matter, do they?
Is that why you live here?

Of the about 7 Billion people in this world anyway, there are about one-half million similar to you, using whole numbers--about 1%.

I say it is smart to let them do their thing and let you do your thing, and try to keep from fighting about it, or converting all of them.

There would be too many of the 99% in hell anyway to have room for anymore!

Even Jesus had terrible problems with the Turks and the Greeks by sending Saints there to convert them!

He never got around to Africa, China, etc., I don't think.

Merry Christmas to you and your family! You know I am a conservative, but I may define conservative different- how do you define conservative? I'm not being nasty- just wondering, I have friends that say that same thing - but sometimes we see things different.
