Late start today and lots of events to cover, so no Daily Citizen today for the people who may be looking for it.

I thought it was a bit early for Christmas parties! Must've been quite a wing-ding! Hope you guys all had fun. I know the rule is "What happens at the Citizen Christmas Party...STAYS at the Citizen Christmas Party", but can you at least tell us if Cal Beverly brought his accordion? Sticking out tongue

Actually it was more like dentist appointment followed by scholarship signings, followed by sports writing and page layout and my sports compadre, Kevin, is at the all region football team meeting eating steak.

I had no idea The Daily Citizen had such a following. Would you be totally heartbroken if there is a revamp and The Daily Citizen gets replaced by more interesting programming each day?

This is actually a good way to reach all bloggers - what kind of things would you want to listen to?

Here are just some of our ideas -

Ask The Citizen - readers e-mail questions pertaining to the paper and the writer's beats and we answer them.

Ben Nelms' corner - The Citizen's own gonzo reporter discusses the state of the area, state, country and world as he sees it.

Meeting Mania - John Thompson and John Munford talk about what's coming up at all the local political meetings, what they think will go down and why local citizens should care.

The Great Debate - Staff writers face off on a different topic each day - (this would be a good one, believe me - you should see what it's like in the editorial room some times).

Anyway, those are just some of the ideas - I won't kick the Daily Citizen to the curb just yet, but the last stat I saw was that it had seven listeners.

I love all seven of you, but it may be time to try something else.

Oh, and as far as I know, Cal doesn't play an accordion, but Munford is part of a Devo cover band.
