Unfortunately, conservatives can not stand to read criticism and won't admit failure of this administration. Also, liberals, even though they took the whole congress back, are not providing comments worth reading in most cases.

I have been trying to keep up with the news lately from the Atlanta evening newscasts. Same news on all channels.
What I found amazing is the frequency of the weather "updates." Even when there is NO WEATHER, they update every three to five minutes anyway.

I have two weather radios. I found out yesterday that you simply can't leave them on so that they will automatically warn you of disasters. They pop on every ten minutes and tell you that the tornado has left podunk and is now in Timbukto county---which is 200 miles away. They are ok for information, if you are a weather junkie and a glutton for puniashment, but local warnings are a necessity. These are weak!

In California (of course) apparently a woman drove her car under a tractor trailer from the side and got lodged, lengthwise, between two sets of the trailers dual tires. Her tires were on the road and she just was sped along for some distance before the truck driver noticed her.

We have two individuals on here providing long pieces about how to handle the situation in Israel, Syria, Lebanon, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia (oops, we don't mess with that dictatorship, do we).

The preacher's wife in a small town in rural Tennessee who shot her husband to death with a shotgun in their bedroom it seems was driven crazy (temporarily) by her preacher husband criticizing her all the time for only having three babies instead of five by now, plus money problems.

A former cab driver in the Bronx, NY, is somehow a judge in Florida.
A hearing about custody of a bottle blondes body which normally takes a couple of hours with lawyers who do their homework, took all week because the judge is a real kook. TV covered it all.

I thoroughly enjoy watching the summation of the important news of the day for one-half hour each day either on NBC, CBS, or ABC. One can see how the war is going and how many more killed and wounded, a two minute blurb on Anna Nicole. or the scandal of the week, an investigation into either corporate or political crooks for a few minutes, and what our government has done for the day.

So many war wounded badly now that Walter Reed wouldn't hold the ones with no legs, arms, etc., so an old motel was contracted for to put some of them in. It wasn't being used and was infiltrated with rats, roaches, and mold. It was minimally staffed and had few pieces of equipment, so some wounded had to make their way around numerous buildings and streets to go for treatment, walking.

Vice President Cheney is in Japan. Secretary Rice is in Israel/Palestine. Congress took another week off.
We have no problems with Japan except they won't help us with Iraq, but might with Korea if we asked.

A restaurant that has reservations has an electrical problem for an hour causing everyone who had reservations for that hour to have to wait.

Everytime I watch the news for the last 4-5 days they are announcing that Jet Blue airline is having trouble flying almost anywhere still. People are still stranded in airports everywhere. Jet Blue apologizes but says the problem is because their pilots haven't had enough rest!

A visit to a doctor's office now runs from $100 to $150, just for a check to see what is wrong or to get a prescription.

We really are sending nutcases to Georgia government! Either that or they want a payoff somewhere along the way.
The house voted to allow us to carry a loaded gun in our car that is hidden, and ATL wants gambling allowed in underground to pay for Grady Hospital.

I have come to believe that all religion would have died out many, many years ago had it not been for doctrinal schisms that have and are occuring.
