6 days left, and now apparently God has spoken:

I do not have the slightest doubt in my mind that God is looking over Peachtree City when there has to be a run-off election on December 6th. I believe that Peachtree City is being given a second opportunity to realize that Mayor Steve Brown is most definitely the person whom we need to run our city. My teenage son recently had to attend either a council meeting or a forum for his government class. He chose to go to a Brown/Logsdon forum. Mr. Logsdon did not even show up, giving the young adults a sense of his irresponsibility and indifference towards the community.

Just curious if anybody has heard anything about potential tenants for the "Buckhead Brewery" building on Hwy 54. Such a nice building, just sitting there. I realize the owner got into troubles with a few locations. I believe the Stockbridge location now has a "meat & 3" located in the old site. Not exactly what I had in mind.

Ånnexation is, rightfully so, a major issue in this campaign. Steve Brown ran in 2001 as an "anti-annexation" candidate. And now he and his supporters are trying to paint Harold Logsden as a "pro-annexation" candidate. Well, that is simply Brown's typical "say what is necessary" to get the vote. So if you are truly concerned about annexation (and you should be) look at the facts.

There has been a lot of talk lately about Logsden and his soluitions. Well, Brown really didn't offer many solutions either. Sure he is throwing out some, but as mayor, why haven't these "solutions" been forth coming before now? Anyway, one merely has to look at what Brown considered issues in 2001, the "solutions" he put forth, and his actions. So here goes.

There’s a big hullabaloo stirring this year about which department stores will permit the words, “Merry Christmas,” to be uttered on their premises. A national television preacher has announced a campaign against stores that prohibit the use of the greeting while TV’s Bill O’Reilly has ground his own religious axe over the issue. Some of these folks are urging us not to shop in stores where “Merry Christmas” is not heard.

So, I woke up this morning, and ran to my PC to see what the latest blog activity was, and then I thought to myself.

Dang, I need a life.

With a week to go, it's time for the propaganda to "kick up a notch."

Steve lies, Harold says nothing...these are the hot things on the blogs today. So, if you've been away for the holiday and just got back, you haven't missed a thing.

Are the jobs of Mayor and Council member more than part-time jobs in fact?

Should they be paid more?

This is not a new question. And my concern is that just maybe this issue is in fact keeping PTC from getting many good people from running?

There are a number of opinions on the Stormwater Utility.

Some see the necessity of fixing the Stormwater issues. Some do not.

Anyone alive in PTC? Anyone remember why Mayor Brown was elected in the first place? Shall we forget the 'tennis center deal', which was, to say the least, questionable? Shall we ignore the fact that of the illegal loan of $1.2M only about $300,000 whent into the actual center? Where did the rest go????? Shall we also forget who pushed it through? Does anyone remember the G.O.B.

So, we're looking at ways to save money in City affairs, and I start looking through some of the various things the City does, and I see a new concept being developed. The mayor is championing a teen court concept as an alternative means to adjudicating misdemeanor offenses for adolescents.

After twelve rounds of blogging, Dan Tennant and PTC Guy have beaten each other senseless, with the judges working feverishly on their scorecards. PTC Guy, coming off a recent confusing session regarding the "semantics" of stormwater with Dana Kinser, turns his attention to the former councilman and mayoral candidate to trade more confusing barbs on...well, STORMWATER.

My alter ego (the mean and nasty one) wants to come out to play. So we're going to create the online version of the BROWNOUT clock. The clock stands at 10 days and counting.

Well, it looks like Steve Brown stole my thunder. Almost.

I wanted to present each candidate’s plans for common topics for the upcoming election, using platforms as presented from website, candidate forums and other pieces of press. If you visit the mayor’s campaign website, www.mayorsteve.com, the incumbent attempts to portray a comparison similar to the one I was beginning to formulate.

Having lived in PTC for many, many years, I am torn between my very conservative/libertarian roots and the entire DAPC debate.
