MAYOR LOGSDON will become CORRUPTED

(Subject line got your attention?)

Power Corrupts and Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely.

I think Mayor Brown has become drunk with power. Its a high that is hard to describe and once you've got it, its addicting.

I strongly suspect Logsdon will become corrupt as well. Especially if he believes this groundswell of public support for his run for office has anything to do with him.

The voters did not vote for Logsden as much as they wanted someone that could help us be rid of the constant arcrimony of Steve Brown's administration. Rapson says Brown's negatives had nothing to do with his loss, well, thats very nice, but we all know the truth.

Dear Mayor Logsdon, Don't let this vote go to your head. You are nobody, zero, nada. Remember that. The Mayor's position is a trust, a duty, a responsiblity and a horrific chore that you have chosen to accept, and we, the voters have chosen to allow you to bare this burden. So keep your humility, remember that its the office of mayor that has authority, not you.

Ronald Reagan was the same man the day before and after his presidency. You should keep his example in mind. Work hard, be honest and forthright. Never act arrogantly or with disdain to your staff or to the voters, (and also to the letters that the ex-mayor will be writing in the newspaper in the next four years.) Stay professional and treat others, even your political enemies with the golden rule in mind.

Don't let this power corrupt you. It will if you let it. Only you will control your ego and only you can keep from becoming addicted to this drug called power.

Your comments are a bit harsh. However they certainly ring very true. Logsden will keep his head because, after talking to him, he seems to be a forhtright person. He doesn't come with the arrogance Lenox had and certainly isn't the "drunk with ego and power" type that Brown is. Oh, and he will have ALL of us to remind him that we expect him to behave in a manner that truly reflects the good people of PTC.

So to Harold Logsden, I and many others are counting on you. I am putting my faith in you that you are the person you seem to be and will remain so. I suspect that to be true because, unlike Brown, you do not see this mayor's job as the equivalent of being "king." So many of us are behind you but will "remind" you if necessary to keep the good of PTC foremost in your mind. I have no doubt you will do so, but take CarpeDieminPTC's words to heart.

I got his campaign mail today. Still talking getting it all done and taxes without any substance on what he would do while acting as if no progress on infrastructure has occurred.

Which is a lie in fact.

And in the paper he basically said he doesn't need to explain himself and he has already put it all out there.

So, birdman, too late. He is already acting arrogant.
