Divine Intervention for the Right Mayor

I do not have the slightest doubt in my mind that God is looking over Peachtree City when there has to be a run-off election on December 6th. I believe that Peachtree City is being given a second opportunity to realize that Mayor Steve Brown is most definitely the person whom we need to run our city. My teenage son recently had to attend either a council meeting or a forum for his government class. He chose to go to a Brown/Logsdon forum. Mr. Logsdon did not even show up, giving the young adults a sense of his irresponsibility and indifference towards the community.

I was very humored by the full-page letters which have appeared in the Citizen written by the "good ole boys" with the likes of Fred Brown, Bob (crybaby/sore-loser) Lenox and other former Peachtree City officials trying to rip Mayor Brown apart. Isn't it very evident to our wonderful Peachtree City residents that Logsdon is really not his own person, but rather is being pulled by the nose by "The Good Ole Boys Club Members", many of whom exploited PTC while masking to give us service?

Steve Brown is honest, dedicated and not afraid of pulling decent punches for the well-being of our community. I urge Logsdon supporters to allow the scales to fall off your eyes. PTC RESIDENTS GO OUT ON DECEMBER 6TH AND VOTE FOR THE ONLY HONEST CANDIDATE ON THE TICKET: MAYOR STEVE BROWN.

Great, we are now offically entering into The Kook Zone. It's not just a mayoral race in a city of 35,000, it's God intervening to save us all and get Steve Brown re-elected! Pass the Kool-Aid.

NUK

Newbie coolmartita seems to get her feelings hurt really easily. I've been anxiously waiting for you to "nuke" this blog. Instead of an election, maybe we should have a prime time battle of the deities. In this corner . . .

Actually, doesn't our charter call for a part-time supreme being that doesn't interfere in the day to day operations of the city?

Yes, I agree with your other blog opening that it is a lovely evening. So that I don't offend your rather delicate religious sensibilities, I'll try to be brief.

Can you give specific instances of how Fred Brown, retired from the FAA, and Bob Lenox, local Printing business owner, profited at the expense of PTC? To my knowlege, neither are developers, hold financial interests in development companies, nor own land slated for possible development within the city. If you have reliable information to refute this, please let me know.

Can you give specific examples of how Harold Logsdon has lied, and explain away the many accusations of Mayor Brown lying, which would support your claim that Steve Brown is the ONLY honest name on the ballot?

I'm sure you would not want to misrepresent the Lord by appearing to spread unsubstantiated, baseless rumors, or even worse, lies, yourself. I look forward to your reply.

...I guess we've offended someone by asking them to prove their points.

To be expected, I guess, considering the candidate coolmartita is supporting. A lot of hot air - no substance. I'm sure there will be those who say the same for Logsdon, but at least he hasn't proven he's a manipulator yet.

Let's try someone else's stories for the next four years.

Please remember that God would like you to vote for Steve Brown.

"Give to Caesar what is Caesar's, give to God what is God's."

I am a Christian, I believe in that thing called God by many, and I would NEVER implicate religion into politics. To do so imbroils the speaker into philosophical rhetoric beyond the scope of human comprehension. If you want to throw God and country and all into it, let's all head back to our Protestant roots, then. What's that you say? Your families moved to America as Catholics, Muslims, and Jews? And they moved here for religious freedoms: the right to express our values and our faiths, but not have government dictate them to us, you say? That's okay - if you want to follow a line of thinking regarding "God and Country", be careful - you may not count.

So take your piety, strong as it is, and parlay it into another form. May God have mercy on YOUR soul for everything you've done (right or wrong).

So, quite simply, shaddap with this junk.

Oh, and "the only honest candidate" statement is a more than just a logical fallacy. Please cease from such baseless propaganda.

Harold Logsdon hasn't lied about a campaign issue yet, that I've seen.

(DANG! Two days and I'm right back in it! Oh well...)

Question:
Do you know the difference between God and Steve Brown?

Answer:
God doesn't think HE'S Steve Brown.
