BROWNOUT - T MINUS 9

Today's highlights from the world on blogging:

After twelve rounds of blogging, Dan Tennant and PTC Guy have beaten each other senseless, with the judges working feverishly on their scorecards. PTC Guy, coming off a recent confusing session regarding the "semantics" of stormwater with Dana Kinser, turns his attention to the former councilman and mayoral candidate to trade more confusing barbs on...well, STORMWATER.

And, closer to home, Mayor Steve Brown is now on day four (I guess, I lost count) on not answering questions from several of his constituents regarding his turnaround on the westside annexation, his "debate" planning tactics, and his plans for the next four years.

The tryptophan is wearing off from Turkey Day, and the home stretch is approaching.

Stay tuned for the answers to these and other questions:

--Will the Mayor continue to press his "record" of "accomplishments" as "progressive" and "earth shattering"?

--Will Harold Logsdon enter the blog debate?

--Will PTC Guy take a page from idontknow's blogging textbook and respond to EVERYBODY'S POST as soon as they are posted?

--What will be on the pizza Dana Kinser wants to have? Will there be a debate about that?

--Will idontknow continue with the onslaught of information to stir the blogging pot?

--Will anyone care? I think the answer to this one is an emphatic NO!

OK - here's the interactive portion of today's missive. If you're putting your hat in the ring for Harold Logsdon and you've never posted before, let your voice be heard! Reply to this post and let the over 25 people who read this know you are tired of the way things have gone in the past four years! You want a change in Peachtree City!

"We're gonna go to Braelinn, and we're gonna WIN! We're gonna go to Kedron, and we're gonna WIN! Then we're gonna go straight to Aberdeen.....YEE-HAW" (imagine Howard Dean speech).

Smile, everybody, the fun has just begun!

If you don't have a clue what Logsdon stands for due to his pervasive dodging post that as well.

Hi, idontknow.

Yep. Some of the issues can get confusing to those who don't know the Bigger Picture. I agree.

As for Tennant I have had my fill of his situational ethics. He can blather on irrationally but I am not responding.

By the way. Logsdon has not responded to anyone who has asked him for specifics in any area. Post, email or otherwise.

And no. I am not going to respond to every post. But you hold a special place in my heart! Smiling

Later!

Just want to "stick up" for my online man, PTC Guy. While we don't see eye to eye on much of anything, he's got the where-with-all to express his opinion. Kudos to you, man. While we don't put our names on our posts, we still have a value in the debate.

Sometimes adding your name subjects you to personal attacks (see the varied replies to Dan Tennant's comments by both the Mayor and Bob Kraft, some of them going to the near libelous).

Here's to the anonymous poster - the beacon of the democratic ideal - ANYBODY's opinion matters, no matter who they are.

(now, just to be self-serving, vote for Logsdon on December 6!).

I agree idontknow about Tennant and the loose comments on line. Tennant is way past the shame stage. He may talk a good game online but he wilts like a sunflower when its crunch time. When he got in office he didn’t do squat and he let the Dev Auth run up those huge operating losses. What a chuckle--- Dan sees no problem with campaigning on a Sunday (i.e., the Logsdon phone solicitors) . Dan missed the point—that Logsdon did not even respond to a polite request to knock it off. Try hard Dan—stay on issue. I know its reminiscent of his attention deficit days on council. The issue being discussed was not the Sunday campaigning or the phone calls. It’s the Logsdon “King- in -the -Castle -I -don’t- need- to- answer- anybody” attitude. He has ignored emails. Apparently you share Logsdon’s view about Sunday campaigning and not debating. I'm just guessing, but I'd say Joey Jamoes is a childhood friend of Steve Brown's and this is one of several names Steve uses to trash on people when he doesn't have the guts to put his name on the trash.

Actually Steve, I don't see a problem with a Sunday afternoon political phone call from Harold's people. Most folks are home, and those that don't want to hear it can certainly hang up.

As to the other stuff Steve-O, when you resort to libel and filth to combat a guy who has called you on the carpet for yet another lapse in morality, it speaks far more volumes about you than me.

I'll pray for you, "Joey". Now get busy with that resume!

Joey, you may have misunderstood my comments. What I was stating was, quite simply, people are taking pot shots at Dan Tennant, especially when they knew it was him.

And, well....you're one of them.

The "loose comments" were directed AT him, not necessarily typed BY him. I think that he has replied to those comments and may have allowed the comments to continue by doing so; while not a tactic I would necessarily take, that's Dan prerogative.

So, Joey, do us all a favor - if you do not have comments regarding the issues of the election and the candidates, and if you would prefer to attempt amateur libel, please cease from continuing your posts on this forum. Your comments are unnecessary and a waste of cyberspace - yours are not so much opinions as they are cheap shots. At least when I get "smart aleck" on a person, I try to get it somewhere close to a basis in fact.

Thanks for stopping by - now go away. And the Cheetah's a church now, so that wouldn't be so bad Smiling

Hey look, we're all passionate here. We believe in what we say. By virtue of being here, we all care about what goes on in our city, and I certainly concur that PTC Guy is a good guy. He backs up what he says with eloquence and states a lot of facts, so while we may disagree, I don't dislike the guy. Heck, I don't even know the guy.

Anyhow, I feel strongly about a lot of things, and while I will never earn a degree in Diplomacy, I'd rather shoot straight with everybody. Sorry if I'm too rough around the edges at times, but like I said, I'm as passionate as anyone about the direction our city is about to take with the mayoral race and the city's business in general.

Dana, what about the pizza for this gang, buddy? I understand idontkow is buying. Now THERE'S a great guy.

Dan, we have disagreed on some issues here, but here are a couple that we can definetely agree on.

First, PTC Guy is a good guy. He cares enough to do the research and back his comments with facts versus conjecture.

Secondly, pizza and a pitcher sound great. Give me the place and time, and I'll do my best to be there. As for idontknow buying, well, we'll see what his response is.

You HAVE to understand on boards all people see of you are your words. No word tones, body language or anything else. Just your words.

No problem, I'll create a 3-D image of myself and have the words spoken with inflection and my hands going nuts...oh yeah, I just remembered, I'm virtually computer illiterate.

Oh well!

Understood what you meant, thanks.
