I wonder if the government suddenly passed a law that limited a preacher earnings to $10,000.00 or less, how many preachers would there actually be left?

The Town Council voted in Executive Session January 24 to refuse to discuss repeal of the Old Council’s damaging Zoning Ordinances that illegally deleted your property uses. This action was not made public at the meeting or in the minutes. In essence, the lawyers were given the go ahead to defend these ordinances as far as they could go. What ever happened to the election campaign promises?

Ron Paul, the 18 yr Senator from Texas has the most important message for America that no other candidate mentions. Ron Paul supports a return to using gold reserves to back the US dollar. Since Pres. Nixon took the US dollar off the gold standard in 1971, government spending has been uncontrollable. The dollar has been losing value. Just look at the rising prices of homes, groceries, cars, clothes and everything else. Gold has value, paper doesn’t. A gold backed dollar would restrict government spending until the debts were paid. Pay your debts then you have more money to spend. It’s as simple as that. The US can’t pay for wars, border control, health care, social programs, etc. with a valueless piece of paper and control inflation. The US is headed for bankruptcy, a collapse of the monetary system and devaluation of the dollar. Everything you, I or the government does depends on a stable dollar. All the other candidates support printing more useless dollars as a solution to jobs, recession and over-all economic prosperity.

I find Epps rather odd with his seemingly constant complaining about being overworked and with constant requirements for support!

Send them to Inman along with their teachers. That insures educational continuity and they get rewarded for sticking with that old rotten building.

To whomever it was that came on the Citizen and recommended eating at the Village Seafood Market, all I have to say is thank you. I went there for lunch today with one of the little gitlets and I had the fried shrimp and fried oysters. It was outstanding. I look forward to buying some fresh seafood from there and taking Mrs. Git there real soon.

I have to admit that I am somewhat confused by the consternation in the Republican Party over the imminent nomination of John McCain.

Whatever became of the secretive investigation that was being conducted by an outside firm involving a Peachtree City employee? I recall the city hired this outside firm.

I see Tyrone's council ladies Grace Caldwell and Gloria Furr have taken their environmental advocacy show on the road. They're now targeting the quarry on Buffington Road in Fulton county for excessive dust emissions. What's next, are they going to ask Delta to stop flying over Tyrone because the planes emit CO2?

It saddens me to see people label teenagers as pot-smoking, promiscuous ne'er-do-wells. I am none of those, and yet people become so brazen as to label all of us as such. Many of the people I know are well on their way to become independent, productive citizens. Nearly all of us will become citizens not unlike yourselves one day. Consider who you were in high school and who you are now.

Most of the republicans (Sonny, Shipp, party members, etc., say no--there isn't one.
I assume that is what they mean when they say to let the people water their lawns and shrubbery and fill their home pools.

I happened to have been born and raised on a large farm during the start of the great world depression. It lasted until I was about ready for high school. The Germans, Italians, and the Japanese--along with a few smaller fish, got us cranked up enough to start leaving that odd time behind.

I am even more appreciative of how you have handled my many taunts and slurs I've made against your dear old Dad. Huge Huckabee and Fair Tax events this weekend - must attend events !!!

I have some very exciting news - there are 2 events here in Georgia this weekend - the last events like this before Super Duper Tuesday - whatever it takes you have to get here whether you are in Georgia or anywhere else if you care about the Fair Tax or if you care about Mike Huckabee you cannot miss these events.

I guess miracles really do happen - I'm a believer now. I watched Ann Coulter on Fox News last night.... she said she'll campaign for Hillary, if McCain wins the nomination. The 2008 election is getting very interesting. (BTW - Nitpicker...how do you like Ann Coulter's legs?)
