Sometimes I am suspicious of all the kind acts you claim. Too many of them, Mother Teresa!
You sometimes remind me of Boortz and some other RW idiots on Atlanta radio who---if they owned or had all the stuff at their house they claim to have from their sponsors, they would have to own 100 acres to put it on!!!

thebeaver: The Victimhood Continues

Bush-Clinton Katrina Fund

It's amazing how Florida can recover from the most devistating hurricanes, yet Mississippi, Alabama, and Louisiana are still looking for a hand out after over 2 years. Billions and Billions poured into the region by government and they still need a hand-out. This isn't intended to sound mean or anything, but good grief, when will it ever end?

I Watch: You want the proof about Tyrone?

If you were at last night’s council meeting you got some of it. An investigation by Town Lawyers found that the old government had been using two versions of the Town Charter to confuse citizens, which Barry and Valerie mixed and matched pages. The 1974 Charter had 17 powers for Mayor, In 1998, (13) of these powers were given to Barry, but it is unclear how this happened. The power to issue business licenses had been removed by ordinance, but Barry & Valerie continued to issued business licenses as a method of illegally running businesses out of Tyrone for the old government’s plan of redevelopment. This caused Tyrone businesses and property owners to lose untold millions of dollars. That’s not all, because the Lawyers said that to clear it all up, a complete investigation of all ordinances would have to be done. This is why Tyrone was sued and this investigation is going to lay bear the evidence in the lawsuit that is already on file in Federal Court. This abuse of power may end up in specific government officials being indicted and sued personally. Tyrone’s insurance policy does not cover any illegalities. The Charter has to be brought into compliance with State Law and Councilman Tracy Young requested that all changes be put on Tyrone’s Web Site before the end of next week and a public hearing to be had about the Charter on February 7. How about all them apples, big mouth nay sayers? Some proof is now official record. I smell a class action lawsuit.

sageadvice: The old "somethings are hard"

excuse.
In the case of abortions aren't you really saying, "don't get pregnant?" Some things are hard.
When hundreds of thousands are killed and wounded in an unnecessary war, isn't that like saying, "some things are hard?"

sageadvice: The Big Fence

I think Hammas showed us how good a 20 foot metal fence is when it comes to stopping immigration.
Just this week they secretly sneaked in to Gaza and quite easily blew up several large holes in it, allowing the people to go to Egypt and purchase needed goods. The Israelis had shut off the goods to Gaza due to shelling from there.

bowser: Q's for Mike King

First, I appreciate your becoming involved in these blogs. It’s rare to get an actual insight into a candidate’s thought processes (albeit after he lost). Maybe all council candidates should be required to participate here for six months BEFORE the election…just a thought Smiling

sageadvice: The $1200 rebate

Now that car companies (and thus dealers) are now requiring a down payment on most new cars, it seems to me that much of the $1200 rebates that working people will get from George (borrowed from China) will now go to the car companies and the dealers for anew car (many of them Japanese).

Steve,

Sorry it took so long to respond to your answers. I appreciate you taking the time. I don't necessarily agree but don't want to argue them all. I do want to address one of your replies, specifically about TDK. You replied that I "pieced words together." Actually, NOT TRUE! I have asked you about this before and am asking again...You blame everyone from Lenox to Logsden for TDK while always maintaining you fought it. My question and quotes come from your Letter to the Editor of Oct. 5 2005. You always seem to dodge your own words. So I am going to copy and paste THE ENTIRE LETTER! Will you please show us where, in this letter, you tell us how YOU tried to stop TDK. It seems you take credit for it only a few months before Logsden took office, then blame Logsden for not killing the project. Again, WHY didn't you simply kill the project.

smoothassilk: I attended the NAACP (community invited),

sponsored meeting and anticipated hearing a panel of educated, in the know panel of speakers, receive awareness and hearing acknowledgement by those in charge in that Crime and gang related issues seems to be here in Fayette County. I have read some of the opinions concerning this meeting. Some of you attended and most did not. My opinion, I am glad I attended. Working in our school system, I know now what to look for in possible “gang” type behavior and their symbols. I did not understand that graffiti is a “gang” related issue that we need to be aware of and paint over immediately to avoid retaliation wars. I do now. And I learned much more. My concern with the future of Fayette County and this year being an election year we all need to take head. Crime is here, drugs are everywhere, and more is coming. How do we want the future of Fayette County to be?
