Margaret Ann Malone

Margaret Ann Malone, 59, Fayetteville, died July 10, 2006. She was born Feb.11, 1947 in Fulton County, daughter of Murray Carlos and Marguerite Adelaide Wilson Underwood. She was reared in Hapeville, where she met her future husband at the age of eight. She attended Hapeville High School and Georgia State College, pausing to rear her family. Years later, she was graduated from Clayton State with a degree in Accounting, with a 4.0 GPA. She was a member of Crossroads Church Newnan for the past six years. For the past 33 years, she has resided in Fayetteville, working with Porex Technologies between two sessions with the Fayette County Government, totaling 22 years. She has held county positions as county clerk, personnel officer, finance officer, and most recently, elections supervisor. Services are today at 11 a.m. at the Carl J. Mowell chapel. Interment will be at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City. Survivors include her husband of 40 years, William Boyce Malone, Fayetteville; daughters, Margaret Lynn and Steven Thomas Crawshaw, Senoia, and Lorie Ann Malone, Durham, N. C.; a grandson, Justin Szamatowicz, Durham, N. C.; and one aunt. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.

Beryl Crowe

Beryl Crowe, 99, Fayetteville, died July 7, 2006. She was born Feb. 22, 1907, in Gwinnett County. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Verlon Crowe. Services were at the Fayetteville First Baptist Church, Overton Chapel, with the Rev. Frank Ellis, and the Rev. Glenn Stringham officiating. Interment was at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. Myra Potterton Skinner

Myra Potterton Skinner, 86, Peachtree City, died July 6, 2006. She was born Oct. 11, 1919 in Alexandria County, Va. She resided in Dade County, Fla. for 73 years before retiring to Georgia in 1993. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Peachtree City. Philip Scott Bedley

Philip Scott Bedley, 46, Buckhead, Ga., died July 2, 2006. He was born Sept. 2, 1959 in Middlesex County, Mass. He was a 1979 graduate of Fayette County High School. After graduation he worked for Clayton County Sheriff’s Department as a deputy, and was part of the Special Enforcement Team. He was a former Morgan County fireman and was currently working as a fireman for Putnam County. He was a volunteer in Morgan County. Hunting and fishing were his favorite pastimes. Graveside services were at Brooks Memorial Cemetery, Brooks, Ga., with the Rev. Royeese Stowe officiating. Frances Turner Asinof

Frances Turner Asinof, Fayetteville, died July 1, 2006. She was reared in the Methodist Children’s Home in Decatur from the age of ten. She was a volunteer for the American Red Cross in the 1960s. She was preceded in death by her husband, Judge Wesley Asinof, and a son, Wesley Asinof Jr. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with interment at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. William Tarrant

William ‘Bill’ Tarrant, 80, Fayette County, died June 30, 2006. He was born March 8, 1926 in Fulton County. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, World War II, and was retired from Atlanta Newspapers with 30 years of service. He made wooden toys for his children and grandchildren, and loved baseball, especially the Atlanta Braves. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Paul Carrier officiating. Geneva Myers

Geneva Myers, 91, Fayetteville, died June 24, 2006. She was born Aug. 25, 1914 in Albertville, Ala., the daughter of Walter and Lara Gray. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Myers, a son, and a grandson. She worked for the school system and had owned her own restaurant. She enjoyed playing the piano, ceramics, and was a good seamstress. Services were at Higgins Funeral Home chapel with interment at Holly Hill, Fairburn. Survivors include a son, Alton and Chyris Hallmark, Clearwater, Fla.; and daughters Dorothy Ensley, Fayetteville, and Lee and Diane Corley, Newnan; and 13 grandchildren. Gertrude McIntosh

Gertrude ‘Trudy’ McIntosh, 73, Fayetteville, died June 23, 2006. She was born March 12,1933 in Erie County, N. Y. She had moved to Georgia in 1999. She had a love of seeing the world and visiting friends. She was a member of St. Andrew’s in-the-Pines Episcopal Church. A funeral mass will be held here on Saturday, July 29, at 11 a.m. A reception will follow. Survivors include daughters, Judy Loopstra, and Susie Kravchuk; grandchildren, Nathan, Lindsey, Warren, Josh, Rose, and Natalie; and a brother, Paul Omundsen. Mary Kichefski

Mary McDonald “Polly” Able Kichefski, 72, died June 21, 2006. She was born Feb. 28, 1934. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Kichefski, parents Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Abel, and a brother, Alexander B. Abel. She was graduated from Neenah High School in Wisconsin, and attended Florida State University where she was member of Phi Beta Phi Sorority. She was a swim coach for 17 years coaching all levels of swimming from youth through high school and college. She ended her working career as Director of the Foreign Language Lab at McIntosh High School, also ending her coaching career here in February, 2002. Memorial services were at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Billy Young Waters, 78, Orange Park, Fla., formerly of Peachtree City, died June 20, 2006. He was born in Canton, Ga., son of the late William Hiram and Martha Jane Lovine Waters. He was preceded in death by a wife, Beulah Waters. He was a retired machine operator at Knox Glass Co. Graveside services were at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City. Survivors include his wife of nine years, Frances Louise Waters; a son, William C. James H. Aldredge, Jr. died June 18 at Piedmont Hospital after a brief illness. He was 76 years old. Jim was an Atlanta native and the son of former long-time Fulton County Commissioner James "Jim" H. Aldredge, Sr. and Sally Upchurch Aldredge.
