Philip Scott Bedley, 46, Buckhead, Ga., died July 2, 2006. He was born Sept. 2, 1959 in Middlesex County, Mass. He was a 1979 graduate of Fayette County High School. After graduation he worked for Clayton County Sheriff’s Department as a deputy, and was part of the Special Enforcement Team. He was a former Morgan County fireman and was currently working as a fireman for Putnam County. He was a volunteer in Morgan County. Hunting and fishing were his favorite pastimes. Graveside services were at Brooks Memorial Cemetery, Brooks, Ga., with the Rev. Royeese Stowe officiating. Survivors include his wife, Ginny Bedley, Buckhead; a son, Randall and Chelsea Bedley, Griffin; a daughter, Heather Bedley, Buckhead; a grandson, Ryan Scott Bedley, Griffin; parents, Ralph and Eleanor Bedley, Greensboro; brothers, Richard Bedley, Eatonton, John ‘Jack’ Bedley, Douglasville, and Thomas and Laura Bedley, Fayetteville; and sisters, Nancy Tkaczuk, Roswell, and Donna and Anthony Richards, Brooks. McCommons Funeral Home, Greensboro, Ga., was in charge.
