Cecil Riley Stacks, 88, Riverdale, died Nov. 26, 2007. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jenny Stacks. Graveside services were at College Park Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Howard Dial officiating. Jimmy "Too Tall" Carmichael

Jimmy "Too Tall" Carmichael, 46, Senoia, died Nov. 5, 2007. He was born May 15, 1961 in Turin, the fifth of seven children born to Julius S. and Lucille I. Carmichael. He joined The China Grove Baptist Church at an early age. He was a graduate of East Coweta High School and was employed by C. W. Matthews Construction Company, Tyrone, for 10 years. Services were at the China Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Turin, with interment at Eastview Cemetery, Newnan. Larry Buttrick

Larry Buttrick, 60, Newnan, died Nov. 6, 2007. He was born June 3, 1947 to the late Earnest and Marie Buttrick. He was one of six children. Clotealous "Tea" Lewis and Charles Lewis also preceded him in death. Garry Anthony Favors

Garry Anthony Favors, 44, Luthersville, died Nov. 11, 2007. He was born Feb. 14, 1963 in Luthersville. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Andrew Joe and Eula Mae Hill, Azzie Lee and Nemiah Favors, brothers, Nathaniel Favors Jr., Mukalia Favors; and a sister, Phyllis Favors. He had attended school in the Meriwether County school system. He had worked at Gene Evans Ford in Union City for the past 24 years. Ola Bowen Pinson

Ola Bowen Pinson, 84, Newnan, died Nov. 21, 2007. She was born May 14, 1923 in Palmetto, daughter of Horace and Celeta Bright Bowen. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Harold Pinson, and a granddaughter, Cecilia Pinson Iskandar. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Newnan where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was a golden sustaining member of the Newnan Junior Service League as well as a leader for local Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops.

Jason Harper, 36, Newnan, died Nov. 22, 2007. He was born Jan. 4, 1971 in Lafourche Parish, La. He was preceded in death by a stepfather, Ralph Rainwater, and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Helene Alice Stanziale, 67, Sharpsburg, died Nov. 13, 2007. She was born May 20, 1940 in Clifton, N.J. She had lived locally for 27 years. Esther Cade Stevens, 94, formerly of Fayetteville, died Nov. 19, 2007 in Griffin. She was born Jan. 30, 1913 in Pittsburg, Pa., to the late William Henry and Goldie Rosell McDonald Cade. Sidney Wallace Turner

Sidney Wallace Turner, 92, Fayetteville, died Nov. 19, 2007. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Eloise Turner, and a grandchild, Jimmy Martin. He was a veteran of the United States Army in World War II. He was a member of the Friendship United Methodist Church, and an umpire for 46 years. He loved to garden and work in his yard. Douglas Francis Danforth, 37, Senoia, died Nov. 8, 2007. He was a combat veteran of the United States Army, serving in the 1st Calvary Division in Desert Storm. Peter Burks

Army 2nd Lt. Peter Burks, 26, was killed Nov. 14, 2007 in Baghdad, Iraq. He was commanding a unit just outside the Green Zone in Baghdad when they were hit by a roadside bomb.

Carl James Brewer Sr.

Carl James Brewer Sr., 87, Fayetteville, died Oct. 27, 2007. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Finley Brewer. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Southwest Pacific area. He was retired from the Federal Aviation Administration with 32 years of service as an electronic engineer. He specialized in Radar and Microwave program engineering. He was a member of the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church, had served on the administrative board and was treasurer of the Discipleship Sunday School class. He was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees and was a charter member of the South Metro Rose Society.
