Mary Gail Neerman

Mary Gail Neermann, 46, Jonesboro, died Dec. 27, 2007. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy Wayne and Sandra Gail Tolbert Sr., and a sister, Tamara "Tammy" Tolbert. She was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan and loved to stitch. Memorial services were at The Summit of South Fayette Church. William Arthur Kruce

William Arthur Kruce, 58, died Dec. 31, 2007. He was preceded in death by his mother, Eleanor Nehlsen Kruse. He was a resident of Dogwood Health and Rehabilitation Center in Fairburn for several years. He was graduated from North Springs High School in 1968. He was graduated from DeKalb College in 1970 and attended Georgia College in Milledgeville. He had worked as a substitute teacher in Coweta County as well as Six Flags Over Georgia. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Newnan. Memorial services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Dr. Steve Bingham officiating. The cremains were interred at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Newnan. Jane S. Miller

Jane S. Miller, 60, Peachtree City, died Dec. 31, 2007, of ovarian cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Rose Schraudenbach. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family. She was employed by the City of Peachtree City as Administrative Services Director-City Clerk. She was a Distinguished Past President of the Peachtree City Kiwanis Club and served on the board of the Tara Credit Union. Services were at the Peachtree City United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bob Tyler and the Rev. Stephen Soulen officiating. Interment was at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City.

Marty Joseph Daugherty

Marty Joseph Daugherty, 47, Peachtree City, died Dec. 31, 2007. He was a native of Springfield, Ill, and was graduated from Southern Illinois University with a degree in Avionics and Business in 1983. He was employed with Delta Airlines as foreman for 17 years. Although an avid golfer, coaching was his passion. He coached for over 11 years, including Peachtree City Little League, Youth Basketball and Soccer. He was known for saying "my classroom is between the lines." He had organized numerous charitable athletic tournaments in Houston, Texas and Peachtree City, including the Delta Open Golf tournaments. Services were at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Michael Kingery, principal celebrant. Interment was at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City.

Maria Grace Scollo

Maria Grace Scollo, 85, Fayetteville, died Jan. 3, 2008. She was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church. Services were at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Stephen Robinson

Stephen "Steve" Robinson, 62, Jonesboro, died Jan. 4, 2008. He was a graduate of West Virginia University and had also served in the United States Army. He worked for PPG Industries for over 20 years and was currently a safety manager at Panasonic, Peachtree City. A memorial service was held at Fayette Bible Church on McDonough Road, with the Rev. Wayne Turner and the Rev. Miguel Vila officiating. Tina Bullock

James Wilbur Burch

James Wilbur Burch 81, Fayetteville, died Jan. 5, 2008, as a result of a fall from a ladder. He was born July 22, 1926 in Fayetteville, son of the late John Ambrose and Nell Graham Burch Sr. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Walter Graham Burch, Howard Lester Burch, and Robert Joseph Burch. He was a lifetime member of the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church. After graduating from Fayette County High School, he volunteered to serve in the United States Navy during World War II. He had served as clerk of court and tax assessor in Fayette County for a number of years. He later owned a catfish hatchery in the county. Many remember his creative side, fixing things and working with wood. Many people enjoy items that he made. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fly fishing, gardening, and was an all-around problem solver and fix-it-man.

Irene B. Burcher

Irene B. Burcher, Fayetteville, died Jan. 5, 2008. She was born in Forsyth County and was a longtime member of McDonough Road Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Anna Mae "Ann" Gasper, 79, Fayetteville, died Jan. 5, 2008. She was born May 3, 1928 in Jim Thorpe, Pa. John Mendon Holland

John Mendon Holland, 79, Fayetteville, formerly of Powder Springs, died Jan. 6, 2008, after a short illness. He was a member of Fayetteville First United Methodist Church and the Fellowship Sunday School Class.

Robert Joseph Burch

Robert Joseph Burch, 82, Fayetteville, died Dec . 25, 2007. He was born June 26, 1925 in the community of Inman, son of John Ambrose and Nell Graham Burch Sr. He was preceded in death by brothers, Walter Graham Burch, and Howard Lester Burch. He was graduated from Fayette County High School and served in the United States Army in the last half of World War II, along with his five brothers. He had been stationed in New Guinea and Australia, serving from 1943 to 1946.

John "J. T." Thomas Feariby

John "J. T." Thomas Feariby, 75, Newnan, died Dec. 13, 2007. He was born April 13, 1932 and attended the Coweta County school system. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie Orvell and Ruth Feariby, Grantville, a brother, Raymond Harris and a sister, Jewell Feariby Martin. He had joined Springfield Baptist Church, Atlanta, and had worked for Riverdale Paving Company for 32 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at the Senior Citizens Community Center.

Jane Vick Chapman

Jane Vick Chapman 88, Peachtree City, died Dec. 18, 2007. She was born May 28, 1919 in Ashville, Tenn. She was preceded in death by her husband, William W. "Bill" Chapman, whom she met at Vanderbilt University, and a son, Richard W. Chapman.

Diane Kay Whittle

Diane Kay Whittle, 74, Peachtree City, died Dec. 16,2007. She was born Oct. 22,1933 in Lima, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Banning and Helen Smith, of Lima. She received her B.S. degree in education from Ohio Northern University in 1956 and taught third grade in Lima. After marriage and her children were in school, she returned to teaching in special education. She enjoyed sewing and doing craft projects, as well as her church friends, and Bible studies at Peachtree United Methodist Church. Memorial services were at Peachtree City United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband Jerry M. James D. "Jim" Care, 69, Peachtree City, died Dec. 17, 2007. He was born May 7, 1938 in Moundsville, W. Va. He was a veteran of Viet Nam having served in the United States Marines. He had been a pilot for Eastern Air Lines for 26 years and was retired from Delta Air Lines as flight dispatcher with 14 years of service. Cora T. Hines

Cora T. Hines, 91, Grantville, died Dec. 1, 2007. She was born June 11, 1916 in Luthersville, daughter of Sidney Albert and Emily Jane Mahone Hamilton. She attended school in Meriwether County. She was preceded in death by her husband, L. D. Hines, whom she married Dec. 26, 1935. He died May 14, 2007. She worked as a housekeeper and later was a housewife. She loved to cook. Services were at the Greater Jehovah Baptist Church where she served for many years on the Mother's Board. Pastor Chris McCambry officiated, with interment at Grantville City Cemetery. Survivors include sons Eddie R. and Catherine Hines, J. D. and Ruby Hines, and Oscar and Georgia Hines; a daughter, Emma J. Lyles; a sister, Alma Ward; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Gabriel Hines; a sister-in-law, Annie Lee Hines; six grandsons; eight granddaughters; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

Eddie Marie Bonner

Eddie Marie Bonner, 66, Flovilla, died Dec. 2, 2007. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Edward Young, her mother, Velma Lucille Wiggins, and a sister, Dorothy Fennell. Doris Yovasis Urbano, 79, Newnan, formerly of Maine, died Dec. 6, 2007. She was born July 17, 1928 in Saco, Maine, daughter of Louis and Thelma Yovasis. Annie Lee Daniel

Annie Lee Daniel, 76, Newnan, died Dec. 6, 2007. She was born July 27, 1931 in Newnan, daughter of Robert Lee and Lily Jackson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Quincy Lee Daniel, whom she married Nov. 24, 1954, brothers, L. C. Jackson, and Leroy "Buck" Jackson, sisters, Hattie Jackson, Pecola White, and Lorene Jackson, and a niece, Annie Kate Derring. She was retired from the Heard County Board of Education, where she was employed as a school bus driver. Services were at Dent Chapel AME Church, Newnan, with the Rev. George and Joyce Harkness pastors. Interment was at the church cemetery.

Dorothy Long Lamson, 87, Newnan, formerly of Tonawanda, N. Y., died Dec. 8, 2007. She was born Aug. 24, 1920 I Buffalo, N. Y., daughter of Oscar and Julie Perenicki. She and her husband spent many years traveling abroad with Cummins Diesel International. Memorial services were at the McKoon Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Gary Cunningham officiating. Survivors include husband of 60 years, Lewis W.
