John "J. T." Thomas Feariby, 75, Newnan, died Dec. 13, 2007. He was born April 13, 1932 and attended the Coweta County school system. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie Orvell and Ruth Feariby, Grantville, a brother, Raymond Harris and a sister, Jewell Feariby Martin. He had joined Springfield Baptist Church, Atlanta, and had worked for Riverdale Paving Company for 32 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at the Senior Citizens Community Center. Services were at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, Newnan, with the Rev. Stafford Dudley officiating. Survivors include his wife, Ora Whatley Feariby; sons, Stanford Whatley, Roderick Whatley Sr., both of Newnan, and Ricky Whatley Jr., and Ricky Feariby, Atlanta; a daughter, Jerry and Jennifer Cone, Newnan; grandchildren, Stanford Whatley Jr., Tremeika Whatley, Roderick Whatley Jr., and Jamaury Whatley, all of Atlanta; a brother, Andrew Harris, Atlanta; sisters, Madeline Tucker, and Patricia Harris, both of Atlanta, Annie Ruth Jones, Dayton, Ohio, and Annette Hines, New York City; a sister-in-law, Corene and Calvin Bridges, Senoia; a special niece, Meriam Smith; and family friend, Precilla Williams, Newnan. Roscoe Jenkins Funeral Home, Newnan, was in charge. login to post comments |
