George Long, 73, Peachtree City, died Nov. 13, 2007. He had served in the United States Army and was retired from the United States Postal service after 35 years. He was a member of Peachtree City Christian Church. Memorial services were at the Peachtree City Christian Church with the Rev. Dr. George Dillard officiating. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Rosa Lee Long, Peachtree City; a daughter, Tabatha and James Ridley, Locust Grove; granddaughters, India Ridley, Jaeva Ridley, Jadelyn Ridley, and Georgia Ridley, all of Locust Grove; nephew, Lin Wood Clark, California; a niece, Kira and Percy Meertens, Matawan, N.J.; a great-nephew, Paul Clark; a great-niece, Jordyn Meertens. Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.
