Ola Bowen Pinson, 84, Newnan, died Nov. 21, 2007. She was born May 14, 1923 in Palmetto, daughter of Horace and Celeta Bright Bowen. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Harold Pinson, and a granddaughter, Cecilia Pinson Iskandar. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Newnan where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was a golden sustaining member of the Newnan Junior Service League as well as a leader for local Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops.

Graveside services were at Oak Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Walker officiating. Survivors include a son, William "Billy" and Maxine Pinson Jr., Savannah; a daughter, Deborah Pinson Glover, Newnan; a brother, Grady Bowen, Palmetto; sisters, Evie and Joe Bowers, Fayetteville, and Florine and Sonny Gentry, Newnan; and grandchildren, Melissa Pinson and Rebecca Pinson Glover. Memorial donations may be given to the Community Welcome House, 13 Augusta Dr., Newnan, GA 30263.
