Nitpickers: Turkey, Iran, Syria, China, & RussiaBeen a bad month for making friends. Nitpickers: Turkey, Iran, Syria, China, & RussiaBeen a bad month for making friends. d.smith700: Another wonderful week of thingsOil is knocking on $100.00 a barrell! Doesn't that eventually translate to 4.00 to 4.50 dollars per gallon of gas? Also all things made of petroleum, nearly everything not eaten, will soon become 100% higher! d.smith700: Another wonderful week of thingsMaybe we can make it til January 2009 someway! TyroneConfidential: DIRTY TRICKSYou can tell when candidates for political office are behind in the polls. They start trashing their opponent. Intelligent voters recognize these nasty tactics. thebeaver: Farrah-con promotes race war"It's time for you scared-to-death Negroes to bite the dust," he said. "Our people must be free. This peaceful coexistence with the murder of our people has to stop." Fed Up: Peachtree City has changedPeachtree City just isn't what it used to be anymore... and it seems to be headed downhill fast. oldbeachbear: Tyrone's new Mayor and CouncilWith the next election, a new era will begin in Tyrone. Gordon Shenkle and Traci Young gave very honest straight foward answers the other night. And when Traci said words to the effect that town employees will be held accountable and paid for performance, you could visualize who will be shopping for new samsonite. No one thinks Smola will get elected except Smola. Shelby Barker: Mike Huckabee 08'This is a recent 7 min. speech Mike Huckabee gave. I hope it will peak your interest. He can win, he is the only Republican Candidate rising in Iowa. bad_ptc: Opps, she did it again! Hitlery Clinton at her beast, ...I meant bestHitlery, ...I meant Hilda-beast, you know Bills boss, the one that flies around on a broom stick at the Nations Capitol. Tug13: highflyer2I hope you're doing okay. I've thought about you, and you're in my prayers. God Bless Nitpickers: Coulter's "Perfected Jews"Coulter said that Christians are "Perfected Jews." I suppose because many of the early Christians were Jews who converted to Christianity. TyroneConfidential: GREAT FORUMThe Tyrone candidates' forum was a resounding sucess. The forum provided voters with clear choices. The old government of Michael Smola for Mayor and Ex-Planning Commission members Ken Matthews & Jesse Nasianceno stuck by their past destructive ordinances of taking away property rights, high density development with sewer and strong support of Town Managers Barry Amos & Valerie Fowler. JJsMom: Sandy Creek HS Gym A/CDid the a/c get fixed in the gym? I think BOE promised by this week? HankyPanky: Sour GrapesTyrone had its election candidates forum Oct. 15 at the Legacy Theatre. The citizens seemed to appreciate the pointed questions asked by the Citizen Newspaper Representatives. oldbeachbear: Tyrone debateTonight, Smola took credit for EVERYTHING good the town has done in the past years....right down to patting himself on the back for the fountain in Shamrock Park! The funny thing is everyone knows he did everything he could to do away with the park, much less put a fountain in it! Many locals worked very hard on their own time to restore the park. oldbeachbear: All who don't want Barry Amos!As well as signing the petition, let's make it visual! Everyone that wants Tyrone's town manager to go, put a red ribbo TonyF: Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha ha-ha-ha ha-ha-ha-haSorry about that, but you people always give me such a good laugh. I mean, c'mon, do you really take yourselves this seriously? Let us see; we have one member who changes handles whenever it suits, but keeps spewing the same nonsense. Laurie Searle: Results of Candidate Forum on Oct 13I appreciate the opportunity to discuss community issues at the candidate forum this past Saturday, Oct. 13. It looks like we had a good turn out of about 200 residents, and all of the candidates participated, except two. Fyt35: First BCS poll of the yearWell, appen: Lets eliminate property tax so the state can manage our local moneySort of takes your breath away. Let the state manage our schools, our cities, our spending, our local taxes.... and lets sell that as a knight in white armor saving us from our failing local property tax system which we have no control over.. The Rabunator: Thanks for making my point, RiverEven in your misinterpretation of my Tiger Pride, you were communicating, perhaps more clearly, what I was trying to say about FCHS and the learning atmosphere there. Shelby Barker: Why Mike Huckabee 08' :: Volume 2In the last entry I discussed Mike Huckabee's stance on two very critical issues; Iraq, and taxes. (See blog Huckabee loves fairttax). I had received feedback in regards to the fairtax. Because I feel Huckabee does not get enough play in the Main Stream media, I simply want to explain his stances on issues rather then defend them. However, I will answer the concerns that were voiced later in this entry. Nitpickers: LOST ARTSThe dehorning of cattle, castrating of pigs and colts, mating of horses, and dipping and shearing of sheep, are lost arts in most places. d.smith700: Argument about TaxesI have always felt that the wost thing humanity has ever invented has been money as a means of exchange. loveptc: Language LessonsDoes anyone know where I can take German language lessons in PTC? skyspy: Kudos to Sheriff's DeputyToday I was flying to work, breaking every traffic law known to man (as usual). I turned onto Antioch and immediatly saw the flashing lights of a squad car. d.smith700: Explaining the Pavilion in FayettevilleOk, it is time somebody explained where such thing as this come from, and why they happen. Shelby Barker: Mike Huckabee 08' LOVES FAIR TAXIt is amazing how much traction Mike Huckabee has gained in the receant polls. Just last week, in a poll of Iowa registered voters, it showed Mike moving into third place right behind a falling Fred Thompson and right in front of Guliani. Denise Conner: AF A-10 "Hack" -- Keeping Religion Out of PoliticsHack, you said, “I am a religious person who tries to keep religion out of politics as much as possible.” (Will you define religion?) I’m so glad that the opponents of slavery did not take your position. |
