Borrowing $7M to upgrade the sports fields ($4M) and Gathering Place ($2.88M) is not the best use of our money – the benefit enjoyed from the upgrades hits far too small of an audience. Listed with other projects I do not believe PTC citizens would rank these at the top. When you vote, consider the big picture, not just the merits of the individual projects. You’re repaying these loans after all – are these the best places to invest your money in the city’s future?

There continues to be a firestorm of comments in these blog pages on various aspects of the upcoming Tyrone elections. It is evident that there are extreme passions on each side of the issues and candidates, but that passion is now to the point that it might push people away from working together to solve the problems in our town.

Someone wrote recently that the petition from Whitewater was ignored at the board meeting. While it might have been, maybe some think it should have.

Where do they come from? This administration obviously picks high-level employees to deliberately screw-up.
Blackwater now works for the Secretary of Defense, since apparently Ms. Rice didn't even know they worked for her!

The fact the councilman refuses to answer these questions for anyone should tell you not to vote for him.

We have all been treated like crap by Amos, Fowler, AND Smola. It just took us a while to find each other. Everything said about Smola and Amos/Val is true and I would swear that before the court and 'God' and everybody.

First of all, your Tyrone election should be about what is best for your city, not who is fighting with who. PTC doesn't work that way.

It is with great remorse that Maude and I learned of Dan’s passing. Dan and I had many things in common. We each had 3 children who all graduated from McIntosh High School. We both served in the United States Navy at the same time and we were both members of the Peachtree City American Legion post. I can remember meeting Dan at school functions and more recently at a Legionnaires’ meeting and I will always remember his kind and caring ways he was a good friend that will be sorely missed. Donna may you and the boys have God’s love guide you during this time of sorrow, and may you find solace in His care. God bless you Dan, and all your family as well

hating God...would be absurd since he's merely a creation of man. But thats a thread hijack for another time, which I would love to discuss.

Recently I have begun reading these blogs about Tyrone because I have heard so much about them.
My view on what I am currently reading is that the people in Tyrone appear to have a choice!

Everyone already knew that Mike Smola and Barry Amos wanted to run current businesses out of Town, when they passed ordinance 454 that took away their property rights and then Valerie started refusing business licenses, even though Tyrone has no business license law.

One would think this would be the best thing to do the moment a new Mayor is elected; however, that would be quick and painless for a person like Barry.

Tyrone Councilman Michael Smola, who is running for Mayor against Don Rehwaldt, can't find many citizens who will let him put up his signs.

I saw Fox 5 News taking videos all over Tyrone downtown. what's going on?

I SAW SMOLA HARASSING LOCAL BUSINESSES TODAY IN TYRONE, WAY TO GET VOTES....VERY NICE SMOLA - IF YOUR TRYING TO GET SOMEONE TO VOTE FOR YOU, YOU FAILED AGAIN.
