everyone is fooled

First of all, your Tyrone election should be about what is best for your city, not who is fighting with who. PTC doesn't work that way. Try a little honesty and put away your childish name calling and sign stealing (yea you beach bear and spouse). We thought you got tired of it from the last election. Get a life you old farts! Let things happen on their own without wasting your life with unwarranted anger. We all want what is best for Tyrone, just some of us do it with more class!!!!!!!!!!!

there is one guy who wonders why Smola is losing who might be here all night talking to himself.

Why does it appear the same group of people consistently trash the candidates they do not like and probably do not even know...yet say nothing positive about the candidate they supposedly support? Is there anything good to say about their candidate or are they as fearful as it appears? Just a thought.

Looks like the editor in chief of this fine publication and forum has something to say. Where are all yall now......are you lost for words, yeah probably.

Submitted by TYRONE6784 on Tue, 10/30/2007 - 6:19pm.

You really are a moron, who cares what the editor in chief says! It is up to the voters. Not lost for words, just doesn't mean anything to me.

Submitted by oldbeachbear on Tue, 10/30/2007 - 8:14pm.

last time and he was right. The problem here is so many people have been walked on in Tyrone for meanness that they will make a point to vote. You sort of have to add up the people who have been wronged against the ones you haven't, to figure out the vote. I think the 2nd list would be kinda short.

Submitted by d.smith700 on Tue, 10/30/2007 - 8:37pm.

The editor won't vote in Tyrone, I hope.
I admire him for taking a position however.
The odds are Tyrone won't care what the editor says. Let us hope not anyway.

but he and his staff have covered the council meetings and written the news for a very long time and have a good idea both what is going on and most importantly, how people have been conducting themselves at those meetings. I think makes his pics carefully.

As for me, when I saw Smola announce, I winced. As much as I don't like him, it is hard to see anyone take a brutal beating. Everyone wondered why he would run, people still don't know. It is going to be embarrassing, but the pity is gone when we all see he it still up to his same on tricks till the end. I have to agree with the paper, how on God's green earth did he ever make it in the 1st time?

I care what the editor in chief says. I care because what Cal has said is a summarization, a cumulation of all of the issues and problems that have been discussed on this blog, in the newspapers, at the town council, in the lawsuits,... and somewhere he connected with these complaints and he did some investigations/studies in order to come to the conclusion that Smola is bad for Tyrone and Rehwaldt, Shenkle, and Young are the best men for the job,...this means that he believed at least some of us. The majority of the stories told on this blog about Amos and the Tyrone Government are TRUE. We have been denied belief by our own the current mayor, Smola and Latouneau, Barry Amos the town manager, Valerie, the assistant town manager/zoning adminitrator, and Brad Sears, the town's attorney. The denial of belief has been in the form of ignoring us, blaming us, firing us, doing things adverse to our problems and concerns. This is 8 years of this and well after 8 years it is nice to be recognized and supported by the editor in chief, a non-involved, objective, or at least as objective as he can be, many people respect him very much, he is a person who spends his whole job investigating and reporting news, and to have Cal say it and coming out and stating his support for the candidates that many of us have been supporting - Rehwaldt, Shenkle, and Young. He had done the research and decided with enough conviction of belief to write about it......... We are for these candidates, too It means he believes us......Rehwaldt for Mayor, Young for council post 1, and Shenkle for council post 2.

Still, DON'T CARE! Go whine and cry elsewhere. Maybe you should seek therapy for all these things TYRONE has done to you.

We hope the Tyrone election will be about who is best for the city! Mr Smola got in office 1st by being APOINTED to fill in the rest of someone's term, then he ran for election once, and won by 17 votes, against a man who had moved away and said he wasn't gonna run 3 months earlier. That's a is pretty bad track record if you ask me.

Dial seems to have joined forces with Mr Smola. Mark Darrow, the one Mr Smola made head of the Focus group, thats the group Mr Smola made to offset the TNA, has a Dial sign in his place. Darrow is also the one that got up and asked the improper question of Renwalt at the forum. Then after the Forum, Dial had his head up Darrow's back side. But having his head up someone's backside comes easy for Dial, you see he is a LOBBYIST. That is as low as it goes. They are to politicans what groupies are to rocksingers. In fact does anyone know the difference in a lobbyist and a prositute? Me neither!

Submitted by Aztec.Chick on Tue, 10/30/2007 - 12:35pm.

Ugh, I am so afraid that Eric "Cornball" Dial is going to get elected. If I get another lame, cheesy flyer from him in the mail, I think I will vomit!!! Is he not the epitomy of a career polititcian??? I hope that the citizens of Tyrone have wised up enough to NOT vote for this politician. I so hope they won't be fooled by his wasteful propaganda!

P.S. I like name calling.

Submitted by TYRONE6784 on Tue, 10/30/2007 - 2:33pm.

Anyway, I just want to let you know BlackinBlack that I already dumped Eric Dial after I talked to Git Real, and put his sign to the City Hall.

Vote for Don Rehwaldt - Tracy Young & Gordon Shenkle.

I never said who I was voting for. One thing is for sure I am showing you who I am. Nothing to hide with only one vote. Why use so many aliases? Why hide? It seems that everyone is trying to rally the wagon after the news truck came to town. Whats up with all that? Old Beach Bear please explain all this to me. I am asking please without animosity. I am curious to eveyone's motivation to changing names etc....

I'm going to bed, I'm only one person and I'm tired. Maybe someone else wants to explain things to you, but not me. You have a town that will show you vote by vote what is going on. Then after the election, if you still don't understand, I don't know what anyone can say to you. The rest of us just have one vote too.

Dial has an angelic face and he does coach baseball, but is he a wolf in sheeps clothing? Being this down and dirty in the middle of something this nasty doesn't sound like the fair haired boy he looks like. This man seems to be hard core politics. His group tried to get a judge unseated because she was in favor of letting the little man sue for big bucks the few times they win against large corporations with big bucks lawyers.

to be so hurt about everyone finding out he is a LOBBYIST has now put herself front and center on his flyer. Either all the "I'm soooo hurt, boo hoo, was BS, or she is thick as a brick to let him use her and her kids like that. Another thing that doesn't match, she is in lock step with the Mayor who broke the tie for Wielands latest subdivision. The one they used a zoning code of duplexes to build. And her husband is in lot step with Mr Smola who also voted for the latest Wieland subdivision. Kind of makes you wonder how short is the memory of the people voting for him are.

if you can stomach a LOBBYIST, can you stomach one that likes Amos and sides with Mr Smola? As for mud throwing, it seems that all the new members are the ones with the rocks in hand. smarty pants and the rest of the Dial Smola clann.

Challenger takes on veteran
State Supreme Court
By Walter C. Jones | Morris News Service | Story updated at 2:25 AM on Sunday, October 29, 2006
ATLANTA - Georgians wanting to voice their opinion about the state Supreme Court get their chance Nov. 7 in a rare contested nonpartisan election with a viable challenger.

Justice Carol Hunstein faces a challenge from Mike Wiggins, a Republican lawyer who is trying to paint the veteran jurist as a liberal activist with a bias toward the plaintiff's bar.

Hunstein characterizes her election as a defense against money tainting the court.

"It's important for me to win personally and professionally, but it's really important for the state of Georgia for me to win," she said. "I am determined to do my best to protect the citizens of the state of Georgia, keep their judiciary independent."

Hunstein's challenge is her first since becoming a Superior Court judge in DeKalb County in 1984 and since being appointed to the Supreme Court by then-Gov. Zell Miller in 1992.

Wiggins hasn't been a judge. He's most recently been a political appointee, first in the Bush Justice Department, starting in 2001, and finally in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security as principal deputy general counsel. Before that he was an accountant and then private attorney with one of the state's largest, silk-stocking firms, Kilpatrick Stockton in Atlanta.

Wiggins claims Hunstein has interpreted cases to suit her own philosophy, siding too often with those suing businesses and not sticking with the law the way the elected legislators intended it.

Besides his own modest campaign fund, he's also backed by a group called the Safety and Prosperity Coalition that's bankrolled by insurance companies, insurance agents, doctors and hospitals worried the court will erase the victory they won in the legislature getting tort reform passed to limit the impact of lawsuits against companies.

"Of the four, we believe that she is the most liberal activist judge," said lobbyist Eric Dial who heads the coalition.

Hunstein counters that those tarring her as an activist judge are merely sore losers, especially when a majority of the court also rules her way. She maintains that she considers each case fairly and often decides on an outcome that goes against her personal preferences.

And she thinks Wiggins is wrong to declare a bias.

"He's picked his label. He's trying to stick one on my forehead, and it's just not sticking," she said. Wuld be in line to become chief justice, a post that doesn't have the authority to influence the outcome of opinions by assigning cases to favorite colleagues the way the chief of the federal high court does. Yet, she could still provide leadership in lobbying the legislature on behalf of the whole judiciary and initiating pet projects like those seeking to expand court access she has championed in the past.

And your point in writing all this crap is????? Give it up, you are wasting your time. Are you scared that your candidates might be falling behind??? I would be if I were you!!! Who in their right mind wants someone leading the town that doesn't even believe in the bible??? Try to deny it all you want but he said it, and that is a fact!!!

Yeah- I'm glad you brought that up because the investigation on Dial is still underway. Checked it out the other day. The attorney who filed the complaint against Dial and his Safety and Prosperity Coalition said that they had a calendar date for it but that it has been put off. Now I am not going to vote for someone who is still under investigation. That stunt Smola pulled yesterday reeked of Darrow and Dial.

it is no less than anyone thought they would pull. Mr Smola can't win without a loophole and it sounds like Dial is real good at finding them, in fact, he makes a living at it. And Darrow? well, he's just jittery joe.

You contradict yourself edie. In the same paragraph you chastise others for name calling and then call them old farts....doesn't make you very credible. I on the other hand encourage name calling and calling people out for what they do to others. None of us are fooled, we know the true story of Tyrone and amos and smola. And we are not going to stop until we get justice.

You must be one of the old farts edie is talking about. All of you are a bunch of idiots who act like you know everything about Tyrone, but in reality you just sit around and think up as many lies as you can to make other people look bad. Why don't you try telling the truth for once and maybe you would get justice MORON!!! Since you encourage name calling, I tried to use as many as I could. Everyone knows who all of you are so just go ahead and sign your name. That will never happen because you are a bunch of COWARDS! No none of you are fooled, you are just a crazy bunch of people with to much time on your hands!!!

All smola did yesterday was piss off the local business owners more than they already are.....hard to believe isn't it. I did not think they could piss us off anymore than they already have, bad judgment on their part I think. Makes me want to vote for Rehnwaldt, Young, aand Shenkle even more.
